Where do chickens really love to live? What type of environment is great for keeping chickens? In this video, I give a few suggestions on how to create a great environment for hens to keep them happy as can be!

Do you have any videos on how you did the duck pond??
Such a pleasant video with your soothing voice. I’m planning on getting a few chickens in the future, trying to learn as much as I can beforehand.
Amazing! I hope to buy enough property to keep that many chickens, ducks, and their own pond! They all look so happy. Thanks for uploading this delightful video.
So peaceful mate, nice relaxed tone of voice for this piece.
A very perfect place I wish mine could have all that. In time and some more money for fencing and bird cover They will have a good size yard. I have a lot of Eagles and other bird predators I am worried about so for me bird netting is a must. My girls have at the moment a 45' x 20' area for a yard and their coop is 15' x 10' x 8 plus feet high. I have bird netting plus shade covering over some of it to keep their yard a little cooler. I only have 8 chickens so far next spring I want to get some more babies. I have a pond with waterfall for fish and for dogs to keep cool that I'm not going to share with the chickens or perhaps future ducks. I will make them their very own special one. Thanks for sharing this.
Great chicken run. How do you train your chickens and ducks to go back to their roosts every night? (Or do they just do that automatically?)
My dogs would have such a great time with these hens as a playmate. Of course, for only a limited time.
I could probably use this video as a guided meditation to relax…
do you raise chickens just for eggs or for eggs and meat?
Does that pond have fish? How do you avoid mosquitoes?
Another great video. I like you talking to us and not yelling. Very relaxing video while being informative. Thanks for putting this out!
We are in suburbia and planning to fence off a portion for chickens….. this is great info. Thank you!
how many acres do you own?
Wow, you have a wonderful place! Our garden is about the size of your duck-pond 😀 but we, just today, placed a chicken coop in our little garden, with our 2 little chicks in it. They love the outdoors! (they are about 7 weeks old now) It's not secure just yet, so they will sleep inside, but hey: the start of our little flock is there! 😀 Thank you for all your tips and tricks: I am binge-watching your chickens-playlist now 😉
You have a really awesome channel. It's great to learn all this stuff. It would be REALLY cool to see drone footage of your space to see how its all laid out. You could argue that could be a security risk but it would be really interesting to see yours. You've clearly put a ton of thought into the poultry compound, it reasons to believe that same thought process went into the garden composition and locations as well as orchard involvement. Have you ever considered aquaponics? Its a huge interest of mine and seems right up you're alley.
Wonderful
we dont have natural grass here anymore. We buy grass seeds from big companies an it's not nutritious for birds or animals. It just looks pretty like plastic. same with food. We buy food made in factories that look big and perfect but have no taste or nutrients.
There’s got to be at least a thousand trees on your property!
What a beautiful paradise you have created. So serene.
8 minutes talking about chickens… I never taught I would ever watch such a video but well I have. I can now tell all my friends chickens like outside water features and shades, not just ducks and humans.
Fox can climb up to 6ft+ , wire fences, hedges, trees etc. even during the day. I think your dog is what's keeping the lil thieves at bay there! Vids of foxs climbing –

I enjoyed watching the ducks and hens interacting with the little pond!
While I like your friendly engaging delivery on most of your videos, this calmer narration is a great alternative. Especially when you’re doing a general description.
Thanks for the video. Been really enjoying your channel. I'm wondering how deep your duck dam is and how you keep it filled? Is it natural or did you dig it and keep it filled?
If you include a goat in your backyard, you don't have to mow at all
Serenity plus!
LOVE this!!
