  1. Have you ever tried bleaching Dandelion Leaves? If you turn a terracotta plant pot over a little plant the leaves to mad trying to get to the sun through the little hole in the base. I can't remember the benefit other than the young leaves are paler, softer too. You should try it Patara, it might not be so bitter.

  2. As a child we would pick dandelion green and roots and make them into a warm salad with vinegar and bacon. So good! My dad also used to make dandelion wine…not so good!

  3. I just discovered your you tube page so cool you are close by. I am in Knoxville and have a sister in Crossville. Have you ever pressure canned on a gas grill?

  4. thank you for the dandelion green tip! we have been making smoothies every morning with our raw goat milk kefir so I will try the dandelions in the morning!

  5. You might try adding extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed hemp seed oil, fresh ground flax seeds, turmeric, cinnamon as well as spinach, and kale.
I use my ninja (a cheaper version of your vita mix) to make ahead.
That way, I pour a base mix into my small container and mix in whatever fresh I feel like.
Combine that with a healthy breakfast including a glucose stabilizing dish of rice and beans topped with hummus
You aren't going to be hungry the rest of the day.
But you will be very regular (if you know what I mean).

  6. I grew up in italy, my Nonna and I used to go foraging for dandelion greens! I just took my 8 yr old daughter out this weekend foraging for them they are delicious! we clean tgem, boil them and toss them in olive oil, Himalayan pink salt and garlic powder with a splash of good vinegar and eat them!

  7. Great vid on a great source of nutrition. We learned about "handy Dandy greens" in 4H way back in the day. My veg/meat market now sells dandelion greens by the bunch . The grow well in pots, too.
