Beautiful garden! It's so cute how you are caring so much for that snake lol It looks like a ribbon snake.
ribbon snake. htgde
I am no snake expert, so I will leave the identification to others. I am not a big snake fan, but I know they have their place in nature. I am glad you are happy to share your garden with them. I am all for live and let live! I don't know if you have seen this one on my channel, but this one is of a Rattlesnake eating a rabbit it had killed near my front porch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhn-BbQ_g8A and this one is of a pretty good sized gopher snake that was basking in my drive way! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1AFbaz9OFc&t=2s
an asset in the garden for sure.
Very cool. i saw one like that yesterday in Toronto. It was about the same size. I'm pretty sure its a Garter snake! I was lucky enough to get a good video that I will share soon! Thumbs UP#10
great video
That snake wouldn't last a minute on our place. I would not ever harm it I have been known to actually catch snakes to bring to the old home place for relocation. However a Garter Snake that size is a Chickens Sunday Dinner.I have a hard time keeping any reptilian around with the Chicken carnivores roaming the yards
I actually screamed, "LEA!!! RUN!!!"
Garter snakes are not poisonous, thank goodness. I don't think they eat eggs either, like my chicken snake.
Very Cool
the first time in history a snake was in the garden he was trouble! oh my goodness Lea I wish I could appreciate it as much as you. Just yesterday I saw a snake with a baby bird . It made me so mad and sad. I also have a clip coming up about a snake in my compost bin. Id be afraid of it around the chickens and their eggs.
Beautiful snake.
He's guarding the garden lol nice footage
He's so cool. You're very fortunate to have him there.
Cool , looks like a Garter snake, but he is pretty big. I have one lives under my shed, he shares with a Skunk, I try to avoid both of them but especially the skunk, thanks for sharing. Cheers.:-)
Yes, he is a harmless, non-venomous garter snake.
he is not running away from…We also have Eastern Rat Snake at our garden..love your garden!!!!
Our outside cat has killed 3 garter snakes this year!! Had to throw her outta my garden earlier, told her bad and no, maybe she'll understand before she makes me mad!!
The chickens sure would love that snake lol!! Yep all snakes bite!!
Have a good'nnn
One thing with the snake in the garden you won't have any pest. Thanks for sharing.
wow i have never seen a snake on a plot. you guys must be brave in Manchester UK we do not have snakes
Beautiful snake! I used to live at a place where the backyard was against an open downward slope. We saw all sorts of wildlife including snakes. I miss that. I think it is great that you've got what looks like a garter snake protecting your garden.
very nice video please check out my channel
Wow..That swipe at the camera would have me running away….Your garden looks great 🙂
Neat snake, they are good to have around, they also will scare off things that will eat your garden. looks great there I have been away from YT for a while.
Wow you are brave, most women run at the sight of snakes! It is 100% a common garter snake. It will eat anything it can overpower, bugs, crickets, worms, slugs, etc…
Not poisonous, but if you get bit it can cause swelling and sometimes severe itching! Most likely attracted to a food source in your garden such as bugs. Good to have in the garden!
I don't mind the snake, But, I don't want him or her in my Garden.. You are great.. Awesome Gardner!!
Looks like he has his meal in him … Pretty snacks yet I am a scarred cat of them.
What state ya live in here in Michigan it looks like a rat snake. or Garter Snake
