This fruit is practically animal proof! I’m yet to see a bird or other animals such as possums or squirrels eat this fruit (umm, we don’t have squirrels in Australia) but you get what I mean… I decided to conduct a crude experiment whereby I left a ripe fruit on the vine for 6 months and nothing touched it! Therefore, I made a video about it to show you all – enjoy! Thanks for your support! 🙂

I had to put on my headsets to enjoy the music!
Animal proof is good! We have to race the birds for our cherries and plums every year.

Looks like something from a 50's sci-fi movie. Have you looked into growing pawpaw? Will they allow you to import it?
Wow six months and the fruit was still edible! I want to grow this even more now.
its fruit, not die hard 3 chill with the over dramatic music
I was thinking about growing them, but. Tried one first and dint think they were worth the effort.
Cracking video Mark – loved it !! I don't suppose you could describe the taste of the fruit? It probably tastes like nothing else …. Anyways, I really liked the different shots you used for this vid. Cheers Adam
If only I could find strawberries with spines like that I'd eat all mine too.
Lol great information with a sense of humor! Loved it !
The fruits that humans get…and animal dont 🙂 Loved it mate! Cheers!!

Officially the cutest video I've seen in a while. You did a great job editing with that music I loved it. Can't wait for my dragon fruit to flower. It will probably be the only thing squirrels don't try to get in my yard! I was NOT aware that you didn't have squirrels! Never crossed my mind. lol
i love this guy
do you have wife.hahaha
Lmao!! The music!! Hahahahahah
Can you send me some dragon fruit seeds?
Anything that's animal proof is a major winner! The bats and birds are mental here.
Is that true for all variety of dragonfruit? I know not all varieties have thorns or spine.
