are you still using the tilther? haven't seen much of it. I have no problem with the tillage, gotta do what works, just wondering.
Rye is best in whisky.. ;-P
I understand your reasons for tilling, but I'll never do it. Unnatural is unnatural. Animals could be introduced to the same effect.
Harvested my first Salanova ever this weekend. Thanks for introducing me to the stuff – amazing!
Very cool, I learn with each and every video.
what is that large vining plant in between the bed and the road?
Hey, this is Monday.. ;-P
i like the ingeneering of the drying screen! flip it on Big Man!
How is the Flooding where you are Curtis?? I was kinda' concerned about you and the farm(s).
Curtis, would you say you are trying to build your soil at the same time in the urban environment you have?
Your home garden is so cute! Better get some more nitrogen in there! I enjoy your videos most. Thanks!
Just seen your book at a garden store in Australia! I might be Odd but I thought it was pretty cool 😛
I know peas will add nitrogen, but what does the rye do? Just build soil?
Tilling still and deep so it seems, shame. Really digging the new setup by the way Curtis. Been following you since the very start and i have to say, i like the improvements i see. I've learned alot from you and will never stop watching your videos so long as you make them. I'm a Follower of yours for life!
Why do you spend $ & time on peas & rye? Why not spend effort on dry fertilizer application? I have been told that chickpeas will fix double the nitrogen into soil as peas to be effective, but either requires maturing the crop and decomposition for the benefit.
I love your videos!!! Thank you for doing this, I learn a bunch!
How concerned are you about nitrogen being locked up for a while because you tilled in the cover crop as it breaks down?
I HAVE ONE QUESTION CAN REALY MAKE 40K ON A QUARTER ACRE NO BULLSHIT I LIVE IN NEW JERSEY NO ONE BELIEVES ME I IN INVESTED AROUND 1000 ALL READY IN SEEDS AND SOIL IM NOT INTO PRODUCING YET
can't tell if you wear hearing protection. ur vids help me tons
Are you wearing ear protection Curtis?
Sis I hear you say "flame weeder" at the end? Are you talking a propane torch? If so, I'm wondering about your thoughts on it. Do it kill most weeds permanently?
in my country, everybody would pee on the vegetables just to harm
I notice you turn your rototiller! When I used to do this, (for money), a decade ago; I learned that on a small plot, not to turn the machine. I would just back it up…tilling in both directions. final pass in forward….
If we left our tools out like that they would be gone.
Oh my poor ears…who will spare a thought for the hearing impaired (using their electronic aid) when editing their videos? For the headphone users who get a shock when the bass drops suddenly after listening to nothing but a voice-over? Looking at you, @1:30 😉 But yeah, pump my volume levels up to hear the VO, get ear blasted with no warning. Thanks, Stone!
