  1. Hi, Adam. You have a beautiful environment walk to your plot. Sorry to see your plants munched on. They do not sell corn in packs like that hear. You may try a pole on each end with strings to help the corn. If you have winds.
Best wishes to you. E 🙂

  2. Hi Adam, I really enjoy your videos. I had lots of trouble with germination last year and had to do some cheats too. This year is much better, so maybe next year will be better for you. Such is the life of a gardener. Thanks for the videos.

  3. Hi Adam, I'm having the same issues here in my North East Pennsylvania garden this year.  A family of four bitty, baby bunnies don't know the rules and have eaten the lower three inches of my peas, the outer stalks of my celery, and the edges of some of the cabbage.  Have not had this issue before.  As far as seed germination, I don't know whether to attribute the poor germination to the seed (age) (source) or to the starter mix I used or to this crazy weather we are having.  It's June and we are having April weather.  Cool and very wet so far and it's only June 8th.  Tulips should stay in the ground, unless you are moving them to a new area, or they didn't bloom well, and they need to be divided, which is what you need to do.  Happy Gardening! Catherine

  4. Hi Adam, I too had a rabbit in the back garden last weekend. It won't be coming back that's for sure, say no more. I think you can let your bulbs dry out and replant in the Autumn. I hope your peas recover. Dave.

  5. I hurt you had lousy grey rainy windy weather there. Hope it will clear up. I love vegies. Do you plant also potato's???? I love bean's. You have to putt chicken wire around

  6. Hi Adam, critters on the plot are a real bind, if its not rabbits is mice, if its not mice its rats, if its not rats its pigeons or pheasants or deer not to mention slugs, cabbage white, wireworm. Generally crossed blue water pipe and pond netting is quick, cheap and keeps most out. Buying in is not cheating its all about time management, resources and mishaps. What about other plot holders passing on their surplus or you yours? Good video as expected. Take care, I hate rabbits Brotherton.

  7. Hi Adam, don't feel bad about buying a few plants. Most people do it. Growing on an allotment we all get problems of one sort or another. Different pests, diseases and seeds just not growing. You've just used your common sense and replaced the ones that didn't work. Hope that's it from the rabbits. Take care. Nick

  8. hi this may be of use to you i get all my seeds from a company called Mole Seeds on line at http://www.Molsseeds.com.uk ……………. now all the seeds they sell are in a gold foil thermosealed bags open only when need to plant. i get 100% germiation with runner beans Painted Lady French Climbing beans Blue Lake so on and so on tomatoes the same i hope this will be of help to ……..Ed

  9. good day to you Adam !! pesky varmints or are ittle baby rabbits, I think the 1st one how about you LOL !! I think everyone cheats every year !! thanks for sharing your knowledge and happy gardening !!

  10. Hi Adam. That's really strange as, our packet of sweet corn was exactly the same! Eight germinated, two died and the rest looked so bad!!!! On the sweet pea theme Adam, most only grow the main stem. They produce better flowers everdently, so we're trying that this year. I also always pick the tendrils off my plants as it gives longer stems! Well they aren't tangled up at least. We're not pestered by rabbits thank heaven but, we do have pigeons, seagulls and foxes to contend with. Still it's all part of the fun of it. Not sure how to send pictures on here but maybe one day you can let me have an email address and we're send you some pictures of our plot. As for the tulips, that's what I do, dig them up when leaves are dying off and dry them and replant later. Well we're promised a bit of nice weather here so, it's top up the tans and back to weeding here. Also our little greenhouse is still standing firm, even though we put it up day before that wind earlier in the year and the recent winds and bonus mate we have tomatoes already! Some quite large now. Still Happy Gardening Adam. Rog n Jen .

  11. I was by a couple of the other allotments and they received a bit of damage to plants and structures. Pet rabbits lol.. I see a relocation video coming .. Disappointing the damage they did.. Stay well and keep on going Rob and Nat

  12. Wascally wabbits! Hopefully you've taken care of that problem. I feel the same way about buying plants, but stuff happens, as they say. The only thing to add on the tulip issue is I've read to wait to dig them up until the greens have turned brown. They apparently need to gather energy to store in the bulb to overwinter and be ready for next year. Maybe that's just here in the freaking Arctic, I'm not sure. Thanks for a vid, have a great week 🙂

  13. hi there i'm devastated perhaps you have a answer all my tomato and cucumber plants have died…. pepper plants are OK any ideas would be must welcome i have some backup plants i don't want to lose them also if i can help it thanks seya Ed

  14. good video, cheating is planting 3 seeds in each hole spaced evenly a foot apart. germination will be positive. leaving 3 growing will not hurt. fertilize twice before rains with a high nitrogen fish emulsion. diluted to half recommended strength. the bunches will stand the wind better. use a short hybrid fast maturing 72 days. op from an Il. corn grower. have the greatest day.

  15. Haven't had a rabbit problem, but last season I have a rat eat most of the Rock Melons and even dig to get at the sweet potatoes. I believe I've found when the rodent was getting in so hopefully I wont have that problem this year. Its spring in Australia, hopefully no more frosts where I live.
