What happens when we take one of the best potting mixes around and fill a raised bed with it? While this is not something I recommend doing, it will be fun to see how everything grows!

that would be amazing!!!
WOW as a Canadian, that was very nice of Promix
Love that you're wearing John Kohler's shirt from his channel!
No update after 2 years come on dog i just lost a lot of faith
did you ever think that by covering all the space between your beds with bark, you are losing all of those grass clippings for your compost pile. I would not do that
Is promix organic?
Can old hay be used vs straw
Any fertilizer going in those beds?
Do you have an idea where to find the "PRO-MIX Vegetable & Herb Mix" here in Michigan? All I can find online and in stores is the "PRO-MIX All Purpose" bags.
Q: What happens if you fill a raised bed with promix?
A: You end up with a raised bed full of promix.
I would have never in a million years guessed thats what was going to happen – thanks for showing us this amazing result

Update on this?
how wide do you make your raised beds?
Your awesome. Have been an Inspiration to me for years.
So how did it turn out?
So…what happened? Is there a follow up video to this? How did the crops do?
Did you make a video of how your plants did growing in the ProMix? Would love to know. : )
I'm about to do the same, buying two pallets of Promix BX wholesale. We don't have any top soil as we live on a Caribbean island that is just a rock, so a mix of promix and compost is as good as I can do. Produce is three times the price here so the numbers work much better. Water is very scarce.
Anyway, how did this work out? Any follow up? I'm very interested to know what amendments you had to do to keep the PH in balance and what fertilizers you used.
tbh, the most important thing I learned from this video is how to transfer soil to the raised bed. How come I did not think of using shovel like that before? That seems much easier than the method I use!
I am sad I spent all that time watching this vid to see the RESULTS of having used promix, and NOTHING shown.
Black GOLD!!!!!
But why waste all that promix? It's a huge waste and you'll never grow $1500 worth of produce in there. Teach us something valuable not fluff
Is there a follow up video?
The next video about the internet lost its mind over him putting raised beds on grass shows plants in the beds that I believe are transplants. They look alive and healthy. I think I’ll watch his videos in order of date & see the promix beds mixed in those.
Aloha, I didn’t realize you could plant straight into promix. What do you fertilize/amend with?
I bought a bale of Promix a few years ago at MaskNards. I mix it with topsoil or recharge old potting soil with it. It's seems like mostly peat moss.
what a gift!
Where is a video re how it worked. I can vouch for it that it works well but yess very expensive. I usually mix perlite, worm casting and compost with it and use it in conatiners as well as in conatiners and it works awesome.
Would love your feed back on it.
I really like ProMax now
FYI to all of the professional homeowner/gardeners out there…. Look for a local bulk landscaping material supply companies. They have mixes like this by the yard and available for delivery. FAR cheaper for a project like this.
