Hard to beat the sweetness of a homegrown fig!
thanks for sharing! i didn't get use of a tiller early on so my garden is quite delayed. do you have tips on what I might still plant for a variety of edibles?
Hi, I was wondering if I can grow and maintain an Aloe plant in a cold weather environment? I guess not outside, but indoor…let me know?
Stevia is great for a sweet fix. One leaf does the trick.Great video.
can't beat a good raspberry, unless you are also growing tayberries. of course , the blueberry bushes are good. have you tried the white alpine strawberry? it comes with it's own vanilla flavour, so you don't need ice cream! I grow 10 sorts of fruit, several varieties of most of them, to spread the harvest. just today, I picked 2kg of fruit to take to a BBQ tomorrow, but most of my harvest ends up in the freezer so I can eat it on my breakfast or as a fruit salad throughout the year
Don't forget blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries — basically any of the berries are sweet and juicy treats!
Thanks for the great video! Our family favorite is Sugar Baby watermelon – a great grower here in Alabama. It usually self seeds because the children spit the seeds back into the garden.
We have fun summer watermelon seed spitting contests in July and August. ( I must admit – even the grownups join in….)
What was the variety of melon that was hanging off the trellis? Some type of watermelon? I love the shape!
Good video. I also love our raspberries, blueberries, grapes, and jostaberries. Who doesn't ??
My favorite sweet veg is the Japanese yam, a variety of sweet potato with purple skin and white flesh. Amazingly sweet, especially roasted in an oven (or wrapped in foil and roasted in the fire pit while camping!) Haven't tried to grow them yet, but would love to some day. Long growing season required.
goldenberries or cape gooseberries?
My cantaloupe was the size of a small ball so I never tried again and I had grown in greenhouse
