GROW VINCA/PERIWINKLE FROM SEEDS EASILY AT HOME AND SAVE TONS OF MONEY…..:)
DAIZZ’S TIPS:-
1.) Fill a well drained pot with potting mix. Leave a 1/4-inch gap between the compost and the top of the flat.
2.) Lay out the vinca seeds across the surface of the potting mix.Space the seeds 2 inches apart. Cover the seeds with a 1/4-inch-thin layer of compost.
3.) Mist the compost with a spray bottle to settle it. Spray the compost until it feels wet at a depth of 1 inch. Maintain a moderate level of moisture in the top inch of potting mix while the vinca seeds germinate.
4.) Cover the nursery flat with a poly bag
5.) Watch for germination one to two weeks after sowing the vinca seeds. Decrease watering and remove the bag after the seeds germinate.
6.) Feed the vinca seedlings with a low-phosphorus fertilizer approximately one week after germination. Apply the fertilizer at half strength to avoid damaging the vinca seedlings’ fragile new roots.
7.) Move the vinca seedlings to a warm, bright location where they will receive six hours of bright sunlight. Transplant them into individual pots when the seedlings are 3-4 inches long.
