  1. Do you think it's the irrigation twice a day that's helping or the increase in humidity from the irrigation?

At the temperature your growing in I would guess that the irrigation is giving you a better pressure vapor deficit (PVD) from increasing the humidity and lowering leaf temp. If this is the case turning then you could save a lot of water and get better results by running the irrigator for only a few rotations but multiple times a day.

  2. hi I was just curious, overhead watering while the sun is out? isn't that a big no no, ive read the water droplets actually act as a magnifier causing the sun to burn the plants leaves or at the very least cause cell wall damage killing the leaves?

  3. curtis do you have any issues when watering during the heat of the day and your plants getting burned i think is the word? I've always heard you shouldn't water during the heat of the day… thank you

  4. I'm sure youve answered this before but was there a reason you werent using soil blocks before the paper pot. I want to start a market garden and would like to know what's best as far as production and cost.

  5. Great info Curtis. I am trying to decide between Senninger x-cel wobble sprinklers or drip. I'm not growing for profit but intend to run 50ft long beds, 30" wide rows with 18" walkways. I would like to also grow Tomatoes, Celery & Cucumber but worried about fungal diseases using overhead watering. I'm not keen on running two different systems.

  6. I heard some where that the paperpot is NOT organic, or it can not be organic certified. Is this true & why? I am retired & will grow my own food, also sale to about 8-12 customer to break even on my cost. I may do more, if I have time. The paperpot will make it easy & I do not care if I break even on the cost, if it keeps me out of the hot sun. I have a small group, 8-12 people, becase I will raise layer hens for eggs, a few pigs & a few steers also. I can not sale to 25 or 50 on my small 10 acres.
But the main thing is if the paperpot can be organic certified in the USA.
