Looks like you broadcast seed with your carrots-is that how you planted the seed?
I also would love to know more on the core gardening method you have used in the past which you loved. I tried it last summer, and am wondering how often it needs to be redone-I suppose I need to dig down and see what is left, but as we have summer and winter growing seasons here, I just planted my winter veg following the summer veg, and am thinking it would probably be all broken down now, so might need replenishing before I plant my summer crops in spring. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Originally, carrots came in all colors, they were cross-bred to give that typical "carrot orange" color… you can still find heirloom carrots of all different colors, including purple.
wow what a harvest luke you guys did really great I was wondering when you start your seeds for the fall do you drect sow or do you start them from seed indoors and if you do drect sow how do you get them to germinate in warm soil

How did you preserve your load? I just pulled ours yesterday from tour seeds. I think we have close to 40#

Bumblebee Junction has a video of planting and harvesting carrots he also has a video on how he makes his soil for his double stacked raised beds, it’s so soft. I think you would enjoy watching them. I enjoy watching you and your wife harvest, you get so excited. Someone mentioned selling mix colored carrot seeds, then it would be a surprise when you harvested them, fun idea.

I like eating the rainbow carrots raw or in salad. I brought a whole 'atomic red' carrot to work in my lunch. My co-workers didn't believe at first that it was a normal carrot until I asked them to google it!! Dark pink carrots, imagine!
How close did you plant all your seeds? Was it a high intensity plant?
I believe the center carrots are smaller because they were surrounded by their mates and had less room to grow I believe.
Why are my carrots never sweet, so starchy tasting. Am I pulling too soon? Poorly fertilized?
