I never wanted a tomato so bad in my life
Have you grown these since? If so, how does the flavor of the new plants compare to this original plant?
TOMATO TIME MACHINE
Victory Seed has a list of several extinct Livingston tomato varieties that have the potential for an interesting quest for anyone interested.
Every seed matters! Lol! Really enjoyed following your journey with these seeds. I hope you’ve gotten tons of seeds by now. Great video!
Don't stress over small stuff. If you hadn't rescued this tomato, who would? If you hadn't rescued it, it would definitely have been extinct. Because you did this, it survived.
I am thrilled for you!
Do you ever sell the seeds?
it has been 3 years and i am sitting here: STOP TALKING AND SHOW ME THE DARN TOMATO. You already cut it in half, please, just flap that sucker open i wanna SEEEEEEEEEEE
Did subsequent tomatoes grown from the new seeds of your first tomato have a different texture or taste?
I have absolutely loved watching you geek out throughout this growing experiment. There's nothing I love more than to watch people who are truly passionate about the things they are creating.
We could always have a go at growing some in the UK ,,,, wink wink lol
It's a tomato, tell us how it went out of existence.
Thanks for taking us on this journey. AMAZING
87 years dormant. Man plants seeds. People waiting people watching for this moment. Moment comes not dissapointed….. I want some please
Better late than never but what’s the chance that you still have any of the seeds of the giant crimson tomatoes and would you be willing to share or sell some?
Do you have these seeds for sale now?
So when are you going to start selling the seeds?
A tomato that doesn’t drown the deli slicer in juice is a hot idea
Did you ever sell them? I have not seen them in your shop…
How do think they will do in Florida?
Please stop wasting time taking about your feelings Mr Migardener. Thanks.
WHEN WILL YOU BE SHARING SEED'S
Not 87 years old tomatoes.
Tomatoes from 87 years old seeds.
With the way it is "meaty" and though it does have seeds set like a beef steak tomato, it is still not enough seeds to say it is heavy with seed and therefore might well make a great sauce tomato, kind of like the way roma, amish paste, or rutgers tomatoes are also great sauce/past tomatoes.
?
Birds eating that one tomato is actually good as they will spread the seeds and possibly help this species make a small comeback
Thank you so much for sharing this journey. I am so excited for you, thrilled that seeds will be available and completely agree with and support your decisions regarding protecting the integrity of the Giant Crimson’s genetics.
Love your integrity Luke!! What a wonderful series. I was on edge the whole time
U call that Giant?Where the big ones on my image gallery?
