  1. Another helpful video! Thank you. I've been binge watching your channel over the last few weeks. Here is what said about you on my blog today: "His content is very detailed and he demonstrates his methods, time saving devices and tools, and many ideas for the business side of farming as well. I have been watching farming and homesteading videos for years and his are simply the best and most useful videos."

  2. Hope Curtis gets to see this comment. Had a concern for you this coming Winter regarding your new roof over your new tool area. I gathered from this video that it has Southern exposure in the Winter. You'd said in an earlier video that you had the roof built short of the fence so the snow will not run off the roof into your neighbors driveway. I'm concerned that when the sun hits the snow on that new roof and melts, that the water is going to hit the concrete surface and re-freeze when it hits the ground. You might end up with an impossible buildup of ice for the winter since the solid fence will prevent the sun from ever hitting that area where the ice builds up.

Hope you get this message. LOVE all the videos you share. Thank you for helping humanity continue to prosper.

    Best regards,

    Bob

  3. I really like how you focus on efficiency. Those tiny minutes saved by storing your equipment properly add up over time. And if other market gardeners adopt your methods, their farms will become more efficient too. Thanks!

  4. Hi, I am been watching your videos for quite some time now. I am curious to know what do you grow or garden to satisfy the gardener within you? In other words, what is the other side of commercial city farmer curtis stone as a gardener.

  5. Curtis, have you guys abandoned the Paper Pot Planter? I noticed that you said that at least the fold-up version might go up for sale, but you also said "these tools"… if both paper pot planters will go up for sale, or be used less frequently, what is your verdict? Too much dependency on mandatory accessories? Too much prep time? TIA

  6. hi i have herd u say u cant buy the tillther any longer.. thought u should no that u can , it is just back ordered . u just have to order it now and wait about 30 days. i just got mine … thanks for all your info, couldn't do it with out u

  7. You mentioned that you rake off the weeds after you hoed them. Is that just for keeping the beds looking nice and clean, or is there a concern that the weeds will re root themselves? I noticed the recently shaved face.

  8. Looking forward to all electric tools if for no other reason that I am sick of hearing lawn mowers every single weekend in the summer, but hey I live in Camden county, New Jersey where people pride themselves on being good little fossil fuel consumers as we live in denial of this current recession we are in. This video helped me realize that Fall is coming and I need to protect my tools.

  9. Hey Curtis!!! My name is Kalie, I am from Lincoln City, Oregon. I've been watching your videos and I read your book. I'm going to start my own farm next year! Just figuring out the logistics first. After talking with my 70 year old grandma, who has been farming her whole life, she still admits to not knowing all there is to know about seed harvesting. Do you know anything? Tips and tricks? Maybe a video idea. Again Thank you for making this videos, they are so helpful and helped me decide on market farmer as a lifestyle. I just told my whole organic gardening class about your book and YouTube channel, and the next day, my instructor and two of my classmates went out and bought the book.

  10. Now that you are using the paper pot system on bare soil, have you given any thought into tooling up wheel hoes for cultivating? I have seen nice set ups with finger weeders and different types of hoes. Thanks.

  11. Hey @Curtis I work with a restaurant thats trying to do aquaponic lettuce in troughs. I'm trying to convince the restaurant that we wouldnt have to harvest the lettuce at the roots and we could use the greens harvester to harvest multiple yields of the lettuce instead of one. Is that a feasible option for us?

  12. Those BCS tillers are ridiculously expensive. You can buy a used Troy Bilt or Airens or a Gravely for under $500 or even get one for free that doesn’t run and if you know how to fix small engines then it’s cheaper too. If you are mechanical it’s not hard to keep up with small engines.
