  1. Patara oh yea been their and it is just a little scary. My first encounter was with a black angus bull calf at about 800-900 lb range and if i did not have a herding cane to swat him i would have been seriously hurt

  2. Bless you for caring about the animals in the flood zone. Last time a storm passed through a lot of pets were lost due to lack of funds and time ran out before their families could find them

  3. Been watching or I guess binging on my tv your channel so wanted pop on cell to make comment..just saw your White Christmas one..what beautiful singer you are and if that was your son a great piano player.I sure wish I could sing….I can hardly him..lol

  4. What is difference in term, homestead verses farm?My dad was farmer.corn and soy beans.they had large garden for canning and freezing.we had couple cows, chickens, hogs.for own use.to me it is just how majority of families lived here southern Indiana..so just not clear on term homesteader

  5. Years ago our pygmy wether was 13 months old & got into our horse pasture. He ended up with a broken hind leg & had to wear a cast for 4 months while continuing to be very active. Also had a calf try & nurse from my pregnant mare but no injury, she just let him try. Yes it's always something.

  6. The baby goats are so cute. they are so fun to watch as they play. It is so fun to watch how fast they act. Their actions are so quick and fast. Things can happen so fast and it can be fatal. Have a great day and stay safe. love ya Joyce

  7. I love this video, staftey oriented aclemation to new members of the farm very important, i watched my sisters young Nubian goats get its leg snapped. The goats were released into the horse pasture and the horses didn't like it and the horses chased the young goats and started pawing at the goats, luckily my husband was there to run across the field to back horses off, and he carried goat back to barn, and the injured goat got a cast and was good to go, could have turned out so much worse…this is such a great video, love yall god bless

  8. I loved this video. I think Goats are probably so smart, and such incredible athletes, it's more of a challenge than a whole lot of us out here are ready for. They truly amaze me, especially the kids. Their "Cuteness Factor" is clear off the charts, but I don't see how their own mothers keep up with them! Or do they? How are the Nanny Goats as parents?

  9. There’s that old adage of if your fences can’t hold water, they won’t hold goats. LOL! I have dragged over some posts to lay across the bottom of the gates. They are rounded, so we can get the atv’s across them and other animals can step over when the gates are opened. And I walk around to make sure the fence line is buried somewhat. It’s amazing how they can pancake Out and get underneath. The other area to watch for is that gap across the top of the fence.

  10. My Dad was kicked in the head while milking a cow. He had to go to the ER for stitches. We also had a brown swiss cow get hit by a volkswagon beetle and it totaled the car. You can't be afraid of your animals but you need to be mindful that you can be hurt by them just because of their size.
