  1. So curtis, your soil is clayish but good enough for the PPT, soo is your basic ground work video on lawn transformation enough soil treatment to get the PPT able to work through your beds? Also, I guess the best question is how deep exactly is it that the PPT needs loose soil to finction with the least possible bumpies or whatever!? Lol Thanks man, you have really changed my view on sustainable agriculture and got me to not be stubborn hahaha

  2. Curtis you mentioned soil blocks – Did you find any difference in transplant health soil blocks vs plug flats? A lot of people in the permaculture scene hype up the soil blocks, I'm just wondering, in your opinion, are soil blocks worth the extra input in time and effort? Thanks v. much

  3. cheers mate, this is useful. if i was to use horticultural vermiculite would it then help me when i plant onto a heavy clay bed to aerate the bed and add air pockets? im in the UK (wet!).

  4. man whenever i hear about perlite ,peat moss, coco coir or vermiculite my heart breaks because it is impossible to get it here where i live.is there any substitute for that?.:( i think only potting soil recipe that i can make is 1part soil,1 part compost or manure and one part sand and than add bone meal, blood meal and wood ash in eqaul part.these are the only things that are available here.what do you think about this potting soil recipe.will it work?

  5. In my area, and probably other places as well, there are a lot of manual small batch cement mixers in people's back woods from back when more people did their own building and masonry that could be restored and repurposed cheaply and easily.

  6. Hi Curtis. Thanks again for another awesome video. I live in Florida and my local supplies have Fox Farm souls and Xtreme HP mix which says it’s from Canada. Do you know anything about them?

  7. Is it possible to turn the soil anaerobic with the fertilizer if you’re not careful? This year I decided to use a 10-10-10 fertilizer because it was on sale and some of my soil turned anaerobic, which gives off an ammonia smell. I can only deduce that it was this new fertilizer. This has never happened before.

  8. probably a very dumb question, considering it is called "potting soil," but is this the kind of mix I would want to make for container gardening, or is this really best for seed starting, but not what I should be looking to fill pots/growbags/etc with?

  9. Idk how many have the room for this (I actually live pretty far out in the country) but a tarp is great for mixing soil cause if you just fold and unfold opposite corners it's mixes quickly

  10. Using peat moss in commercial scale is extremly problematic to be used in Germany due to environmental protection discussions. Would u have any alternativ to this?

  11. How many gallons is your bin? What exactly is it and where does one get one? It looks like you made the wheeled base yourself… Freakin NICE homie! Thanks for all your great content!
