VIDEO: How to Grow Hibiscus From Cuttings (Easiest Method )

Growing hibiscus from cutting is fairly simple. Take woody cuttings from gudhal (hibiscus) plant and make a cut the nodes. Dip this portion in a glass of water to propagate the stem into new plant. This will take about 3 weeks to develop roots. Once the roots are out, bury the cutting in soil.Within a month’s period the propagated plant will start flowering.

  1. Good evening sir,it was a very informative video, sir can you please post a video showing how to grow short and busy hibiscus with good flowering capacity.. As I live in apartment can't have tall plants..thank you

  2. Good afternoon sir.. Today I noticed few snails on soil and also few were munching my chrysanthemum leaves, I removed the plant from pot and noticed many snails have infested the soil completely, few months back I had added neem cake while potting the plant, still why the infestation sir..feeling sad

  3. Hello Sir. Your videos are really easy to follow and understand especially for some one like me who is new to gardening . Thank you. I had few questions regarding care of hibiscus plants. My plants are planted in a pot. They don't seem to be growing any bigger. It's just of one size. How to propagate more branches and leaves on the plant? Also one of the plant has light green leaves. Is that normal/common? Would be grateful for any insights/tips on how to deal with this.

  4. Thank you for this video. After only 8 months my cutting is now a thriving plant. It bloomed this morning with a blossom as large as my hand. There are 8 more buds present. I did start out with 10 cuttings. I live in the northern plains. After investing in a grow light I was able to save the last cutting. Thank you.
