Do you play anymore at all? Your remarkably practical for somebody that followed a creative career…. Not typically seen as practical. How has it fed into your current work?
Bang bang!
who cares reality is not everyone have chances to sell veggies to restaurants. Start a garden feed neighnours, forget about fake advise. Saying is not what you know its who you know. facts
Play your music for us, or interview with your wife about living with an urban farmer
Really interesting!
deer fence deer fence deer fence!
Curtis, I would like to see a video of Curtis Stone the Musician from Montreal. Dress the part. The time period, genre etc. and play something that you would like your daughter to see many years from now. I think that you have talked about your time as a musician on many occasions and this may help to really connect with your audience. You can say no even if this gets a lot of likes and I pray that you do not think I am being rude or out of line. Thank you for all that you do for your community.
How do you manage you crop rotation !? (also how use spreadsheets for that)
That is your silver play button???

Best advice ever on starting out on most business start-ups – thank you!
Do a video for farmers who want to diversify into vegetables
Could you please do a video directed specifically to help start ups get their relatives behind them? The audience being those who aren't so crazy about the endevor of starting up an Urban Farm or just don't know enough to want to back up their budding Urban Farmer.
I sometimes go to the grocery store and purchase vegetables and fruits that do not have the proper nutritional value that is needed. I am now growing fruits and vegetables I'm studying ways to pack them with nutrition.
This is great… and would be very straightforward with a job like tree planting. I'm struggling to apply it to farming though. If I hustle today to transplant salanova, I won't see $ from that for 8+weeks. If I hustle today to recruit a customer, I might see $ today, but set myself up for a bad day in 8 weeks when production is down… so… How do you deal with that off-set with this style of tracking/saving/motivation?
Would like to see your home garden
Hi Curtis, absolutely enjoy your videos and learn so much. Could you please also include some women farmers in your future interviews.
I just got a new tilther and have burnt out 2 drills in a week. Is there a specific setting the drill must be on or what am I doing wrong? Appreciate your time and knowledge you share.
where do you get the 1" spring clamps?
thanks
hey curtis,
i have watched pretty much all of your vids, but havnt heard this issues that i am having mentioned…
i am in NZ and the sun gets pretty intense and dry and i guess it's similar for you there…?.
unless i get harvest done before 9am, i am finding my greens are starting to wilt before i have had a chance to get them home and into the coolroom. i am keeping them in shade all the time but its just very hot.
i will be scaling up soon at a plot about 15 mins from my home & post harvest area.
when you do a big harvest at one of your further out plots, how do you keep the greens from wilting while you harvest the rest and get them back to the coolroom???
any tips would be super appreciated!
thanks!
Getting paid for "Results" instead of "Per Hour"!
Subject pitch: Harvest the crops for the week and show the expenses versus the sale price of that week's yield please. Thanks.
I literally just started setting averages for my Postmate delivery side-hustle and it's really improved my outcomes. I had a really slow day yesterday and for once I was ok with it!
I dropped out of school in 5th grade.
I make $70k/yr in refinery support.
Everyone uses oil byproducts, nothing wrong with working in the oil industry.
Can you make a video of your spreadsheets? I really struggle with that sort of thing.
Would really like to see a video on writing a business plan
Curtis, are you "Ponytail Guy" or should I say is the character "Ponytail Guy" based on you? From Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe.
You are doing good things and have the plan. So many today want a hand out or "it's too hard." You've earned every single thing you have through hard work and discipline. Your parents I'm sure, are very proud. You have a lot to be proud of.
Let's hear some guitar jams!
Any updates on the new farm project?
With my business i plan for ten muligan days a year… That accounts for theft, not getting paid, personal screw ups and a couple sick days… Sometimes ill work 4 am to 10 pm Saturday sunday and not account for it and at the end of the year my honey pot always surprises me
You always had an entrepreneurial mindset. Good Luck
Have you seen the precision seeders on ebay from the Ukraine or Russia? they come in a 1,3or5row. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Precision-Manual-Garden-Home-Seeder-Hand-Row-Vegetable-Seeds-5-tipes-choice/254023390002?hash=item3b24f95332:m:mc1aw-AcZg63csDrh1w3idw:rk:18:pf:0
