After enjoying an unintentional digital detox of 2 weeks without broadband, I was finally able to make a video about roughly what is in store for 2018. This will be my first full year of working on the channel without having to worry about school or exams and I am very excited to get started. I would love to know what your plans for 2018 are.

Hey Huw, if you're looking for an idea for a video topic, could you please explain the different parts of fruit trees, where the fruit comes on the tree, what is only leafy part. Remember, also really enjoyed seeing you use your "storage" /garden vegetables in the kitchen – so if time permits ], would Love to see more of those.

Hi Huw, thank you for sharing some of your plans with us! Do you intend on growing any new species of plants this year? In your video I could see many of your plants already starting to grow! Where I live, so far in 2018 I must wait another month or two (three?) before anything can grow outside, for the land is still covered with snow and ice! In the meantime I intend on studying the plants I've already planted over the past years, survey their growth, document their cycles and habits and the ecosystem they provide/belong to, I'll give them fresh mulch throughout the summer. I'd also like to plant more ground covering species to fill the space under my trees, I'm thinking of adding more teaberry to our forest garden. I've filmed some of it last year and the previous, you're inspiring me to do a montage and share it online in 2018! Another plan is to create plant markers to identify the different things we're growing, I'll try myself at woodcarving and woodburning and recycle some materials I've got piled around! I'd also like to improve the pathways, making them easier to navigate, maintain, and most importantly, adapt them to the seasons, much of the land will get flooded in the spring because of the ice and snow melting, and the subsequent rain; I thought it would be cool to try and build wooden walkways with some spare wood I have at home, I've seen it in some nature centers, these are built to walk across marshy areas- or maybe I can save the materials and get myself some rain boots for the springtime instead…
