I did that with a papaya! Got about 400 sprouts in a 12×6 tray. They separated easily.
I like your videos but you talk way too much. I could edit your videos and just leave the information and make a 2 min video or less. Please talk less.

Is it called high density or high intensity?
People do this with tomatoes all the time. Beets too. Craig LeHoullier has been starting thousands of tomatoes for decades doing the dense planting method, so this doesn’t just pertain to alliums. He also started doing it with beets and it’s just as effective
I also just watched The How to Grow Lettuce video with Charles Dowding today and he does this with lettuce and “pricks” them apart. He does it with other crops too
The short day onion seeds I got from migardener store has really really low germination rate. I sowed a lot on a pot and i only get one or two seeds germinating..is it me or the seed?? I have good luck with rest of migardener seeds so I dunno why onion seed is giving me such a hard time.

Summary: Rather than sowing onions singly, you can sow several onion seeds together in a little pot, later separate them carefully and plant out. He says the result will be onions exactly the same size, but he also says they will be smaller. 10 minutes of my life I won’t get back.
That’s starting onion seedings in a small space. That isn’t growing that many out in that area. Clickbait jrk.
