  1. I contacted a local farmer and asked for some straw. When I bought it, I told him I would use it to hill my potatoes in a grow bag, to which he asked, "did you read that in a book?" In Wisconsin, I planted 34 -10 gallon containers…and they're doing great! Thanks so much!

  2. Wish I had watched you before I planted. This is my first attempt with potatoes and I did not fertilize so we’ll see what happens. They have started to flower this past week so maybe they are ok?

  3. I am growing in pots indoors under lights as a science project for my daycare children, and in a self watering planter as well. They are a foot tall and I keep having to elevate my lamps. I really hope we have potatoes!! Kids are very excited.

  4. Very helpful thank you so much. Group potatoes in the ground years ago but never had much success but going to use potato bags this year thank you so much for all your advice

  5. Advantages of grow bags:

    1) Made of environment friendly non woven fabric, allow roots breathable and healthier.

    2) Booster better roots aeration and access to oxygen, resulting in a vigorous plant with more flowers and fruits.

    3) No-strap water design prevent over watering of plants.

    4) Keep roots warmer in winter and cooler in the summer

    5) Sturdy handle straps easier transportation.

    6) Decrease risk of transplant shock.
