I haven't pruned tomatoes yet, haven't needed to.
I plant a foot deep in a raised bed here in Dallas and tomatoes grow amazing.
Amazing instruction. I am just a hobby gardener but your channel has taught me a lot. You have a great talent for teaching. If you were closer to Louisiana I would love to attend your classes.
I've heard it before but I appreciate the clear, succinct explanation. 🙂
More of this please
You need more rabbit shit
Not sure what camera you used, but the clarity, the richness of the color and the quality is outstanding.
I live further south, that is how I have always planted tomatoes, nice and deep.
excellent tips
How much do you water the tomatoes with drip irrigation? Once or twice a week, or on a daily basis? So do you soak the ground well once a week or rather more regularly, but less intensive. I remember you mentioning that you guys have a high water table making your soil moist at deeper levels. If I remembered correctly?
Curtis, is that shelf with the tomatoes in a heated garage or was it just somewhere in your house? Also, what kind of lighting did it have?
Hard pruning, deeper planting works great in Texas. I didn't grow tomatoes well until I watched you. Now they are a local favorite! So your method is a GO in my zone.
Great video, thank you for posting! I’m starting a ton of tomatoes this year for the first time and this is very helpful
"the groot" hehehe. I like how you added the slides to the video. Always killing it with production. Keep on killing, Curtis!
Such a wonderful video, I've learned so much. I hope to put in to practice some of these lessons.
I don't agree that more sunlight on the tomatoes helps them to ripen faster. I've observed that more sunlight slows ripening.
Hi curtis, i see a tomato you called jeunne flamme on your slide. It is mispelled, it's called "jaune flammée" 😉
I teach farming at a school and we're doing everything plant-based/veganic. What do you think about using this plant-based fertilizer instead of Gaia Green, to avoid the slaughterhouse by-products? Any other veganic products you know of? Thanks!
Don't usually comment on You Tube videos as we watch them on our TV but would just like to say we greatly appreciate the time and effort that you put into your videos and the sharing of your knowledge.
Fabulous videography. Thank you for sharing these sessions freely on your channel! Have learned so much.
This was fantastic, thanks Curtis!
That was great. I learned a ton. Thank you!
I learn so much from you. I appreciate what you do! Thanks for the no BS teaching
I had no idea tomatoes took so much effort
Depending on where you are, the tomatoes will get sunburned if you don't leave some foliage to protect them.
l live in Houston TX where we have the opposite climate as you do in BC. I plant my tomatoes deep and it works well
First of all thanks for your video. It really help me lot. I have a question about fertilizer. How many time do you fertilizer your tomato during season? I always get confuse about this problem. Because, over this video you only talk about once.
Please don't say "um." This will greatly improve how you sound.
Can you inter plant with carrots?
