  1. Thanks for the video on growing larger onions. I have always grown onions and although they do ok they have never really been anything to boast about. I will be putting some of your tips and ideas into practice this year and hope to see a difference. Thanks. Take care and stay safe, Sandie from Ontario Canada.

  2. Hi! I am in Mongolia. It is really cold here. After I have watched your video, I started sowing onion seeds from the end of February indoor. I sow variety called "Altay" which grow only in Altay mountains. This variety is unbelievable cold tolerant. Thanks for your great videos. I always learn science, when I watch your videos.

  3. What about fertilizer needs? Organic fertilizer top dressing? Or do you just add compost and go. Thanks Luke. I planted sets this year. I am in zone 8a and planted around the beginning of March. I hope they make. I only used compost and no fertilizer. I have applied fish emulsion one time. What are your thoughts? Later dude.

  4. Hey Luke! Checking back in as a refresher for my growing onions. To prune or not to prune… that is the question! In this video you mentioned your guide to growing onions. Where would I find that information. A video name please? Thanks again for all you do for us.

  5. I live in Michigan as well. You mentioned starting them as early as March 5th. Our last frost date in Grand rapids is May 27th which is way outside of the March 5th timeframe of 5 weeks before that last frost date. What do you recommend in my situation?

  6. For people watching you for the first time and don't want to spend time researching where you are in the World it would help if you inform us at the start of each Video so we are all 'onboard'.

  7. Thank you for this valuable info and this will be my first year at attempting to grow some short day slicer onions. I have a question. If you would go ahead and prune all the onions part way down when you first see the limping in 1 or more, will it hurt the bulb?

  8. Hello Luke, I know this is an old video but it a great one. I am a but late June 10th in Southern Pa. Can I plate onion sets still will they grow? I have the March 2 date down for seeds next year.
