Don't be surprised if some of those carrots come out spicy being next to the habanero. Happened with my tomatoes when we planted them next to each other.

We have been lucky in GA. Plenty of rain and no heat wave like everybody else.
I squish the Japanese Beetles by hand as well. It's gross, but I hate having them munching on my plants! The gardens are looking good!
