Today, my friend and I are doing some direct sowing in the raised beds for the fall garden. Many of you have asked to see exactly how we do this, so here is your chance!
I showed you my seed spacing ruler, which I got at the dollar spot at Target in Spring. I did a search online and found this one (which is longer and nicer than the one I use) at Gardeners Supply Co, which is a company I have shopped with multiple times and I trust.

How tall are your raised beds?
I would Love to see a Kids in the Garden series from you. Other people may already do that, I don't know, but I would def watch yours, and my grandchildren would get so much from it
Jess have you done a video showing what plants can be in the same bed as your climbing vegetables. Can I have a trelace with climber in the same bed as my tomatos?
Hi Jess, thanks for another great video. Do you rotate your crops, or just amend the soil?
Hello! We are new to the channel and I wanted to say we are enjoying your videos so much! I might be a little late on this but I found the ruler tool you have on Amazon. It is expensive thought but I still think it is very valuable! Burgon & Ball Essential Tools Planting Ruler https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P68SVUM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_JYZ2Bb2RWDMF6
I look forward to all your videos! Blessings!
Hi Jessica, thank you for sharing your tips and tricks or planting and keeping track of it all, lovely assistant today in the garden. Since you mention rabbit manure at the end I have a question regarding the best time to place manure(s). I know this video is about fall planting, my question is geared towards preparing the soil for the rest of winter. I have collected leaves for laying over the top of the garden area my question is would it be more beneficial to add the manure now under the leaves and let it all do it's thing through the winter months, just put the leaves and let them decompose and feed the earth, then added the manure closer to when I will be planting the seeds and or plants in the ground this next spring. Or should I add the manure and leaves for the winter rest and then add more manure come planting time?? I will mention the ground I am working with will be a first time garden crop area. Nothing has been planted in the area for over a year. Thank you for taking time to respond-:)

What an adorable helper! It's like that saying " you give a man a fish he eats for a day." Teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime". Just as you are teaching this child how to eat for the rest of her life! That's something she wont forget! They may not be grateful now, but you are Instilling this into your kids and its literally a gift and a blessing. I recall the people who have taken the time to teach me something when I was a child and I never forgot.
Hello to the sweet little girl! There's a future gardener for sure!
Nice to have Miss Noriah to help out. Start our young women young on how to take care of herself and grow good food.
Also thanks for showing a simple note taking in the garden. I always think that I’ll remember, because my garden is so small. 2-3 weeks later, I’m hard put to remember where I finally decided to plant what.
Great hobby for most ages and lots of good food
purple is my fav too cool
