  1. My oh my, will you look at what we have here. What a unique video my friend. Your upgrade on videography staffing has paid off. Yet, it brings to question why everyone was so out of breath from walking a plot. I have had corn so good I gobbled it down. Your corn looked like it got a proper gobbling by the end of the day (they don't store well). So good my friends, very enjoyable! Hope you both had a great weekend:))

  2. Bless your heart. You get kudos for trying so hard. So sorry you've had disappointing results yes. I know nothing about allotments because I live in coastal Texas, USA. But the corn did look good. What size is an allotment and are you allowed to grow anything you want on them.? Is it allowed to add amendments to the soil? Here in Texas we add wood chips to our beds sometimes because they break the Damage Done by rain, they help distribute the water flow, and rabbits don't like them. Would you like a good South Texas recipe for rabbit stew? It's time to put your Winter Garden in any way. Good luck with your brussel sprouts collard greens spinach winter squash and anything else you're going to be planting in the next week or two. This is my first time seeing your Channel but I could still see optimism and Care in your face so I'm going to like subscribe and ring the bell. Good luck!

  3. Rabbit stew is mighty tasty ya know. Sunflowers are huge! Big onions no doubt. Very nice corn! Weather has been mighty wild this year no doubt! Heat wave hit the whole world it seems. Thanks for the tour. Hope you have a great week!

  4. You're looking a lot happier. I'm going to take it it's not from the gardening you're doing. I really wish you'd have given me you're email before you broke camp on that other thing. BTW… a little10/10/10 fertilizer at the start of the year & a side feeding now would have helped the plot. Just saying… Thanx for posting. Keep at it kid.

  5. Hi mate, brilliant update. That corn looked fantastic. Think the flowers have just dropped off the Pumpkin as they were male flowers. Brilliant ending to the video and you’re certainly enjoying your time on the plot at the moment. Take care. Nick

  6. Hmm.. You must've fallen out with me now that you have a bird on the go. The gate wasn't opened at the start of the vid and although it was was (nearly) jumped over at the end I feel robbed of the walk-through shot. You are however forgiven as I was thoroughly entertained and I need to seek help.
The sweetcorn is fantastic mate and second to none, you should have grabbed the stalk too and give us the old Freddie Mercury mike routine.
Three thumbs up for your new cameraman 🙂

  7. Those carrots will be "rabbited" as soon as they're ready no doubt! Wow, look at those parsnips! Doing reeeal good! Two is better than none!! A couple of years ago I told everyone on youtube that it was going to be "the year of the turnip for me". Then came Armageddon floods and pestilence and out of 200 seedlings that I nurtured, only one mangy individual survived – inedible of course! That sweetcorn looked very happy to see somebody! Nice, cool, calm exit! It's true – neighbours' plots are always better, but don't forget they probably live on theirs and they don't share precious moments in their life with other people and their knowledge and humour like you do which is priceless!!!! You had me and the missus in stitches watching this so we'd best go seek help! All the best to you and keep up the good work!!! 🙂

  8. Watched a new adaptation of Swallows and Amazons on BBC One at the weekend It's on iplayer thought of you while watching. Incidentally, the scenes alleged to be in Rio are actually shot in Howarth West Yorkshire a couple of miles from where I bought my first house. Take care Mike B
