  1. Ah, envy – I don't think I'll get any corn cobs this year – it's just sitting there not bothering. It really didn't like either the weather or where I grew it…

  2. Hi Mark, how many corn plants (minimum) can I grow to insure good pollination? I am a home gardener with limited space and I'm wondering if I am only able to plant 10 corn plants would it be worth it?

  3. This is the most informative video on corn I have found… perfect timing for me!
My question is when to harvest dry corn for best seed harvest. I let 2 of my minipop corn plants go to seed for next year but unfortunately I want to replant the bed as I only have a 10 meter square garden bed and need to work asap as I get into spring here in Australia.
How long do I leave the corn to mature? Will watering plants around them as they mature be a problem? Thanks in advance for any tips!

  4. I put up Bluebird house 20 years ago. I have never had a corn ear worm since. I is fun to watch the birds go from one ear of corn to the next. They tilt their heads an if they hear a worm they eat it.

  5. Very interesting Video. I did not know that info on corn silks. Another question, are you getting a lot of splitting on your tomatoes? My smaller tomatoes don’t have it but my mortgage beefsteak and ugly tomatoes are really getting damaged by splitting and rot this yr with the rains. I am in Bucks county PA

  6. Hi Mark, your a very knowledgeable man, I learnt something new today, your wealth of information. I have been watching your channel for a while now but haven't commented before. Did you say fruit, I thought corn is a vegetable? Can please settle a dispute in my house (see what you started), is corn a 1. Fruit, 2. Grain, 3. Vegetable? How do you manage to grow corn without rats, possums eating your corn. I have a small garden patch, lime, lemon, mandarin and seasonal vegetable, my problem is everything gets eating by rats and possums and now something is eating the bark of my lemon and lime, can you suggest something, I live near the bush and I don't want to use poisons, I did do a search on the net and made a live rat trap, but this grey rat won't go into the trap, help!
