Instant credibility with the loafers
How many seeds did you put in each bean hole? Same with lettuce?
To me this stuff is just basic gardening intuition.
Awesome tips
Would you comment at all on the square foot density method
love when you do these gardening videos Curtis, it takes what you do on your farm and puts it in more real terms for people who love to grow veg but don't necessarily want to farm.
when you click on the link to the workshop in Selmer, TN it says nothing can be found
Any Tips on growing snake beans?
Nice shoes Curtis.
Good stuff, Curtis, when do u expect first frost? Word is this going to be a pretty cool winter and many parts of your continent.
splitting out.. over seeding… thinning.. 7 minutes… hmmmm
You said that you planted carrots in that bed in early April. How did you protect against spring frosts? Row covers, low tunnel, something else..? Also is that your standard drip irrigation in the bed or something new? Thanks, Landon (Hi-Def Organics)
Can you do a video explaining the youtube algorithm change and how it has affected your videos.
Cool vid curtis
Do you have one on what drip tape you use? I have trouble getting drip tape in australia….. all I can find is drip pipe 🙁
Next step can be .make your raised beds mobil . for more productive space. Like your videos!
while some may feel this is basic, it's a great reminder when we are pulling out starts that are too densely planted.
Thanks Curtis
Grandma always seeded beans in bunches of 5. Bushbeans support eachother very well, pole beans will climb on the pole stuck right in the middle of the cluster.
Hey Curtis if I were to build some raised beds like yours should I put just compost in or what I need help please
Ever consider dabbling in the “craft cannabis” industry? When “legal” next month?
Wouldn't it be better off to not seed directly after the carrots, but simply plant out the bed with full starter plants once the carrots were done? Two benefits… 1) no micky mousing with seeds that don't germinate, moving them around, further disturbing the soil, etc etc and 2) the time wasted waiting for the seeds to germinate after the carrots came out essentially means that the bed is cropless for WAY longer. Just some thoughts. Love the video though, as always!!
I plant mine much closer together and have great production. Plus, no weeds.
Looking to do some microfarming in Halton Hills area, anyone have some land to share, thanks.
Love your videos and what u do grate work.
Curtis after using your raised beds in your front garden, have any of your previous opinions about raised beds vs ground beds changed. eg your carrot harvest was amazing and as an urban farmer perhaps some crops would actually be better off getting a dedicated raised bed built for them. I have come to believe that the story of rotating crops to prevent pests is not exactly acurate. Jersey royal potatoes in the UK have been grown on the same sloped field for over 100 years and all they do after harvest is go down to the shore, collect a load of seaweed and lob it on top of the soil and leave it to break down naturally and come spring the fields nutrient levels are right back up and healthy. helthy soil = no disease, same thing with onions in France, same fields hundreds of years. compost put on top and raked smooth, no till at all. Charles Dowding in the UK is a no till or no dig as he puts it pioneer with many books to his name.
This spacing is called "Equidistant spacing". I use this for most crops in raised beds.
I am looking for your video about you talking about how you built your raised beds in your front yard. Can anyone direct me to it?
I am looking for the video of when you built your front yard beds , can you provide link ?
Did you move?
