VIDEO: Garden Harvest November 4th 2018

Early November garden harvest! We are still getting green beans from our climbing Rattlesnakes and our Contender bush beans. We are still getting some nice harvests from our pepper plants. Not a bad day in the garden!!

  1. We grow a lot of Provider bean, which is a sister variety of Contender I believe. I think Provider is a little better for growing up north.  My family isn't a big fan of green pepper, so we typically only harvest them green right at the end when the frost is coming, otherwise I get them to eat them better when they are ripened and colorful. We did manage to freeze quite a few pounds of green and half ripe peppers after the frost came, but our peppers have been gone for almost a month now. Its cool to see your southern garden where you can still grow beans, peppers and other summer crops all the way into November!

  2. Very nice harvests there Lea!! Just a few days ago i had flowers on my tomato plants but
that has changed very quickly!! Just harvested some lettuce to go with our supper.
That is a very very nice harvest of green beans there!!
    Have a good'nnn
