In the first part of this multipart series, regenerative ranching expert, Jim Elizondo talks about how to make maximum sustainable profit per acre while improving the land. This includes the whole environment of wildlife, microbes, insects and people. He guides participants in understanding how to determine the most animals they can sustain while managing costs. He offers expertise in how this can be done with less inputs and winter grazing with stockpiled crops while maintaining the health of the herd and pastures. He introduces universal ranching principals that he has managed around the world successfully including non selective grazing, high stock density and rotational grazing and the importance of grass management.

A good teacher makes complex things simple. Great video. Thanks!
This really explains a lot. Thank you! I am learning that supplementation and staying intense will really help.
Thanks Jim! Keep up the good work. I would love to attend one of your classes in the future.
Please upload part 2 of this lesson, Jim is a great teacher.
I still struggle to understand something here it seems: when Greg Judy tells us to move the cows in spring, even when they haven't grazed it 'severely', Jamie Elizondo tells us to 'graze it down' – ?
Okay, okay…: 13:07
Hello Jaime,
I have just signed on to manage a cow/calf operation and they have some irrigated crops that they would like to integrate with the intensive rotational grazing system I will put in place.
The crop that they have is 3-Way: Triticale, Barley, and Wheat. My question to you is how would you graze this? Should I do Total Grazing, i.e., all the way down, then let it have a long rest period? These are not natural/native grasses so I wanted to write to you to see what you would do.
Thanks!
Hello Jim. Do you do consultations? We have around 70 acres
