VIDEO: Soggy Garden Update January 3 2019

It is a wet soggy mess here, lol!! This is the second wettest year on record. Daily chores are a lot more difficult when slogging through mud. Our lettuce is starting to look good and some of our direct sow greens are starting to sprout. Our seedlings we have started in flats are starting to look really nice. We really need some dry weather for a while!

  1. Feeling your pain! We have broke the all time record for the wettest year ever in history for 2018 and now working on 2019 as it is still raining here. Looks pretty muddy over there Mrs. Lea. Glad you did not bust your butt walking around in all that slush. You need ya some cool pretty water boots! LOL. Garden is holding up really good to be so wet! Thanks for the look at what ya have growing on over there! Hope it drys out soon for all of us! Wishing 2019 to be the best year ever for ya! Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Oh My! Good thing you fit into your husbands boots! Here in North East Pennsylvania, we had 26 inches more rain in 2018 than we've had since 2011. Most of that fell from August to December. I feel your pain. You have a very lovely garden for January. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year! Catherine

  3. Oh my you almost need some rubber boots with that amount of water. At least your plants are looking good. Love black walnuts! Hard to crack to get the nut out though. Hope the sun comes out and drys your garden out some. We've had a lot of rain also. There's a small pong at the back end of the mo lie home I'm renting and the water is about a foot up under the skirting. Fortunately it's not very deep. Hope y'all have a good weekend!

  4. Did you say Rain!! ☔☔Yes We have been having the same Forcast for the last 7days Rain Windy and No sun!! But Your Garden Is Muddy and Beautiful.. It well dry up… The sun will SHINE I'm looking forward to the Black Walnuts Cleaning and Cracking.. Lol Thanks for sharing

The squirrels will have it made if they find those walnuts!!
Happy Gardening and Have a good'nnn

  6. That was a VERY soggy update! Where I live in Green Valley Arizona, we also got snow and a fair amount of rain including overnight in to this morning. We will take every inch of it as sometimes if feels like it will never rain again. I am sure you are feeling like you will never see the sun or dry ground again. Isn't it just like the "city" to do something like that? What a mess! I am glad to see the good things like all the plants growing, and I am glad you are taking good care of the girls. I love the bonus haul of the black walnuts, it will be interesting to see how that works out! You and Al take care!!! I would send you some sun from Arizona, but we are not seeing it for now either!!!
