  1. Yes we saw that drawing from the game we know you have a lot of seeds lol. Still too funny. I do too, have 2 folders full of those baseball card holders but filled with seeds. They are over stuffed I put two packs of the card slots in each folder filled. I did get a lot of good deals when seeds went on sale at dollar General etc so some packets of cilantro I got for like 10 cents. I may have gone overboard lol.

Here weather is crazy weird too it's very odd. It makes me worry that the cold is gonna sneak up and just jump all of a sudden and keep snow around for longer. Last year it didn't melt until mid April and we've gotten some snow like they said but not nearly as much as they said. If it's just gonna be late and stay later it's gonna really mess up my growing plans.

If it's just not gonna be that cold of a winter I worry whether we will be having some drought or something this year which would be bad too.

  2. My ground is still frozen-and I will definitely get more snow this winter (I am in South Dakota) – but you have inspired me to get out in the garden and work on the cleaning out I didn’t do this fall. The more I get done now, the more time I can spending planting (and weeding) when spring finally arrives! I love watching your videos, they give me motivation to do more!

  3. Citus trees in CA where I spent most of my life have thorns too. Nice long sharp needle sharp ones. I miss being able to grow the fruit trees in north eastern OK that were taken for granted there. Also the bugs we have here are scary. Good luck with the green house.

  4. Hi, I vote for the greenhouse centered in the back of the garden with a pathway to it. You will be glad not to cut up your garden too much, but will keep the greenhouse a lovely showcase. Your projects and plans make 2019 wonderful already. May your thumbs be green all seasons.

  5. If you want to make the glasshouse larger, you could make the north wall solid since it never gets sun anyway. It would make the windows go farther, and you probably have something in your pile to make a solid wall. (Things I wish I’d done when I first put up my greenhouse.)

  6. As an old mama hen….I can tell you….enjoy every moment like this day with your littles! They are only chicks for a little while. My littles are now hens with their own homesteads….because this mama hen enjoyed days like this too! Blessings from Ringle, Wisconsin.

  7. I grow tomatoes in my high tunnel in the same soil for 14 years, I add home made compost on the top each year and it hasn’t been a problem. I hope it works for you!

  8. I think showcasing your Window Greenhouse is an awesome idea. If it was me, I would center it. Think it would be a nice focal point and really stand out. That sweet Ben sure makes me smile when he is in the videos. He is so adorable. Congrats on almost hittin 80k. You guys are awesome!! Can't wait to see your garden grow this year. Love and hugs. God bless.

  9. I have to sit and start planning our garden layout too. We want to expand our berry bushes. We are also on hold for our high tunnel grant as well as a grant to help us fix our major drainage issue.

  10. I think center rear of space surrounded on three sides by paths and perennials. Tall things like fruit trees for summer shade in late afternoon and bushes and beds toward the front.

  11. I wish there were a way to show you my Grapefruit and Orange trees that I grew from seed when 2 of my 3 daughter's were born. The Grapefruit tree is 42 years old and my Orange tree is 25 years old. In the house every Winter, then, back outside in the warmer seasons. Um, yeah, I live in WISCONSIN!
