VIDEO: Graziers Intensive I Part 3

Regenerative ranching expert, Jim Elizondo teaches about profitable livestock management while utilizing regenerative pasture management. Jim teaches the many great benefits of non-selective grazing. This includes the whole environment of wildlife, microbes, insects, and people. He offers expertise in how this can be done with fewer inputs and winter grazing with stockpiled crops while maintaining the health of the herd and pastures. He introduces universal ranching principals that he has managed around the world successfully including non-selective grazing, high stock density and rotational grazing and the importance of grass management.

  1. I think Greg Judy is able to consistently graze 1/3 of his pastures because he has mostly endophyte infested fescue. The endophyte is concentrated on the roots, stem, and seed head. The top 1/3 of his grass has the lease endophyte as long as it doesn't set seed. I think it's important to realize He wouldn't be successful using this type of extreme non selective grazing. But it is effective for general graziers in most other environments.

  2. I'm not questioning Jim's extensive and deep knowledge, but just a suggestion: chickens to follow cows sometime after to break fly cycle in cow poop. More profit and natural solution with no cow-wash needed.
