why did you put the seeds near the edge of the pot? I would think to put them in the middle
When planting seedlings in egg cartons, how do you water them from the bottom? I am guessing I place the egg carton in a pan and add water to allow it to soak up into the carton.

What is “crumbly brownie mix”? I’ve only ever seen smooth brownie batter.
Please don't use peat pellets if you can avoid it – coconut coir provides much of the same benefits while being a renewable resource. Peat isn't renewable and collecting it destroys bog ecosystems that rely on it for filtering the water. It takes over a hundred years for the sphagnum moss to build up and decomp into peat, coir gets replaced often because it actually breaks down in your soil and if you're like me with heavy clay soil in Texas, it can seriously help combat against compaction and drainage issues.
If you want to keep gnats from taking over, use neem cake. I gallon of water, and 3.5 heaping tsp of neem cake. ( I used " naked neem"-online). Shake . Leave set 2 hours. Use on seed starting soil. I did this on propagating 85 plants, and I did not have one gnat. Can be used for regular plants. Cannot keep the left over because it will turn into a smell. This is the only thing that works. I will never probagate without this again. The year before I had gnats everywhere.
