I will definitely be investing in your new book it sounds like just what I am looking for as a complete newbie wanting to start a raised bed garden. Thanks!
Why is it peat free written on the soil bag? Not good to use peat on soil?
i cant believe you can eat kale chips haha im vegan and i cant even, you should deffinatly be vegan if you can eat shit like that lol
Excellent video. I am new to gardening. After a separation, I wanted to show my children that Daddy can also do gardening, specially veggie growing. It is a great healthy practice with the family. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I jus wrote this comment, because I'd like to support you! Nice video!
Hi Huw at the beginning of July I started growing some veg in tesco crates the blue ones. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peas and kale, I'm not overly worried about the greens but I am hoping for a warm September for tomatoes. Would you have any tips.
I was thinking of making small green house from a palette and strong clear plastic bags. Would this work.
Hi Huw, I am growing in west Wales and throughly enjoy seeing what you manage in North Wales.
Sue
Always excellent content easy to understand
Dear Huw. Just recieved your book here in Sweden and really like your channel. Thank you so much and good luck for season 2020 🙂
btw if you mix the seasoning with the oil in a small glas (those smal one portion jam glases are perfect) you can drizzle from the glas directly on the sheet with the kale and safe washing the pot with soap or dishwasher, mostly you even don't need to mix by hand, so it becomes even less messy…
otherwise awsome content
Hi Richards, r u married, i love gardening too
I love love love your videos!!
Excellent video! All the best 🙂
Thank you for your videos. I am going to grow my own vegetables organically in small scale. I think it is easy I just use raise beds. But the land is covered by grass. I still don't have the idea what to do with the grass.
Hi Huw, Just watching some of your old footage, congratulations on the release of your book today. I have ordered one because I like the information you share within your videos. Keep doing what you're doing, it's very educational information thank you.
Thank you Huw
I've been into permaculture for the past few years, even had lots of practical use in community gardens but never placed compost like so in a raised bed…
Being concerned that seedlings get a "burn" from nutrients if intreduced too young I always placed it way further down…
What you said about microbes and insects bringing the nutrients down was an eye opener, I simply assumed insects have nothing left to break down /feed on and won't scatter it at all…
I'll be following your steps next week raising beds with the kids at kindergarten.
Earlier today we placed our first compost bin in the vegetable garden and gave the excited kids the introduction…
Thanks again, your content is very interesting, personal and thorough.
Have you ever thought about translating your book to Polish language? 🙂 I'm really keen on that. I have translated a few books to Polish so far… like Robert Morse's books.
Is it ok to fill the entire raised bed with compost?
Get your gloves off Huw…
lol. Little msmr breaks. Why not.
Just discovered your channel, thank you. I purchased leaf compost from my local nursery. Is it ok to just add 100% compost to fill my two new beds?
that kale looks amazing! what variety is it?
So if I've left my raised veg Trug for few days since filling it when sewing seeds does the two watering can amount still apply?
An inexpensive way to fill the bottom is to use alfalfa and/or hay.
Cucumber beetles?
Good day Sir, why my cucumber tastes bitter?
When you say 50% soil and 50% compost, are you referring to top soil? Thanks
