  1. THAT puppy is so very adorable! We have had the breed also and they are amazing. You need to put him right in with your livestock now when he is young. Then he will stay with them and not run off. Enjoy him he is awesome!!! JUNE

  2. Congratulations on your newest family member Gabe!! I'm a huge Great Pyr. Lover and I can't wait to watch him grow and guard! ❤️❤️

  3. Hey, Jess @Roots and Refuge Farm! I wanted to thank you for recommending Baker Creek! I had never heard of them before, but I loved perusing their catalogue, loved their selection and photos. They also shipped everything so quickly, that I was pleased enough to place a second order! I noticed on this video that you are growing a few things that I am. The Kaho melon, and I think I have those variegated Zinnias too. (Obsessively love zinnias!) It will be interesting this year, because your growing season is about a month ahead of mine. So about the time you're harvesting Kaho, I can be checking and harvesting mine a month-ish later! I chose that variety because of the interesting coloring and because I am installing arbor trellises like yours to grow my melons and squash vertically, and thus, I know from reading "Quarter Acre Farm" by Spring Warren, that the fruit need to be small enough to avoid collapsing the trellis. This is the first year I have ever grown melons. Wish me luck!

  4. Adorable! Great P's are excellent and natural guardian – socialize him to all types of things as possible by the end of 4 months.
Any dog questions let me know!

  5. fb page – livestock guardian dogs and positive training methods is a great resource. You would benefit from adopting an adult LGD pyr to help train Gabe because they aren't considered LGDs until they are at least 2 years old. Gabe will be vulnerable to predators himself for several more months.

  6. I am seeing this video for first time. I am a huge fan and wish I could have had a farm. I grew up in Mena and have a brother in LR. I now live in southern california and have a nice garden in my yard. I love being able to grow my vegetables. Most of all the garden keeps me grateful and is so therapeutic. God is good!
