Hi Patara, I love your channel. I just found out my family is from Cherokee, NC. I would appreciate any suggestions you have to help me find out more about my Cherokee ancestors. Thank you and God bless.
Thanks for the great information! Is there a website to order the t-shirts she was folding in the video? Wish I could attend the Homesteading Conference but can't make it from Texas. I like your videos on your heritage and the history of Trail of Tears you've done in other videos. And you have some great cooking and recipe videos. Thank you for sharing!
I think it is so beautiful what you women are doing to make this information available to everyone and to keep Cherokee history alive.
I wish I could come to the event. Is there anyway to order Miss Lou’s beautiful items?
I am so happy that you are always sharing this wonderful history, It must never be forgotten. Even thought I have no Cherokee blood, as a young girl I did visit the reservation and fell in love with this amazing history, thank you so much.
Patera who knows what the future will bring. There are many seasons in ones life. Always listen to the callings of the heart. That is where you find true happiness and no "what ifs"!!
Aw wish I could attend event~ may it be a wonderful gathering! 🙂
What a blessing she is!! Gosh I am just obsessed with her necklaces! So pretty. ❤️
Hi Patara!
I'm 1/4 Cherokee! My Grandmother on my Dad's side was a Full Blooded Cherokee. I never got to meet her, she died before I was born. I saw some pictures of her though and she was beautiful! Her maiden name was Ora Mae Parks!
I have a hole in my heart from never meeting either on of my real Grandmothers. They both died young! There are so many things I wish I could ask them! Like"How come I'm the only one in my family who had blue eyes"? Really, I just wish that I could have gotten the chance to know them! That hurt has never gone away!
Patara have recently found out I have Cherokee. On both sides of my family, however both sides deceased. How do i go about finding out if any were on the trail of tears. Utube is only media I do. I'm not techy!!
Very good to keep the language going.
I've been there love that area.
Amazing! I wish I could come! Could u maybe do a video sharing the history of the trail of tears pretty pleaseeee ☺️ I love history and u always make everything so interesting to learn about and watch.
So very important to keep Native American Language alive…thank you!!
I'm a member of the Crow tribe in Montana so glad you can speak your real language. I didn't speak English until I was 6. Keep it up
So very interesting – I remember reading about the Cherokee nation having their own written language – so awesome this is being preserved and taught – much like old Gaelic and Irish in the British Isles, where my people come from!!
Patara, what a wonderful video. It's so important to keep the Cherokee nation/language/history alive. That goes for all the indian tribes throughout the USA.
So nice to see all the. Flowers coming in bloom. Just love the video, keep up the good work
Thank for the info. Wish i could come but have some broken bones so i hope your making a video for me to watch
ᏏᏲ! I'm a citizen of the Eastern Band too. Glad to see people interested in the language. I don't live there anymore but I'm still trying to learn the language.
Blessings Patara! Please check out Sacred way sanctuary in Florence Alabama. They have indigenous horses of North America. With DNA traces back before the ice age. The Natives had horses long before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1500's Some of the horses they have are trail of tears horses ancestors. We have a herd of 9 here at bright Horizon Sanctuary. Blessings.
love mrs. lou!!!!! xoxo
