  1. Hoi hoi knife is my most used and best garden tool… on my tool belt with pruning shears….. can't be without either… knife (in Canada) is from Lee Valley..about $40..comes with leather sheath to go on belt!

  2. I have been using another version of your hori hori tool for over 10 years. I stopped using all other garden hand tools once I got that thing. no mater which one you get, you can not beat that tool! it is a must in any garden!

  3. I get whatever I might need to use or whatever at the dollar store. And the actual Dollar store where everythings is a dollar. If they don't have it at the dollar store I won't worry about getting it unless I need a hose and attachment head. That's when I go to family Dollar and buy their $10 hose and a $3 multi spray head.my son laughed at me cuzI got one of those little sand bucket things with the little shovel and a little rake thing and all that in it. But when I seen it, I was like hey that'll work for all my little pots. And believe it or not they work amazing. the little hand rake that's in the sandbox bucket kit is better than the handrake. Just the way it's set up is little different, ngers and the teeth on it are actually curved so you just go right into a weed root and just snap it out

  4. If we use one of your affiliate links but only save it to our "wish list", will you still receive credit once the item is purchased at a later date?
Thank you for this video! I'm brand new to gardening and we just bought our homestead, we move in July. I've been watching and learning for years. Can't wait to put all the lessons to work on our land!

  5. That apron looks like it would work better than using your t shirt as an apron…you dont need to hold the bottom between your teeth to use both hands.

No more dry mouth when harvesting!!!

  6. That barebones hori hori knife is definitely not high quality,, they come very blunt, (especially the tip), with a power grinder, you can make these serviceable, but out of the box,, they're poor,,,
    Caveat Emptor,,,

  7. I am currently using my kids little red wagon for my outdoor garden projects. The sides aren't very high so I use free 5 gallon buckets from the local bakery. They are $5-6 to buy around here, plus the lid if you want one. I would really like the gorilla dump cart though. On my Amazon wishlist now ✔

  8. La Rue Siens
Jess your videos are great and so helpful. I am in Bend, OR and it is snowing right now so there is plenty of time to watch and gain much needed info on my small garden. Love, love your sweet smile and I laugh when I read all the wants for a sweet Miah in their life. I'm 83 and it's probably best I stick with a small garden. Cloning an 80ish Miah is a fantasy for me. I would be looking for a G Grandpa. Keep up you sweet spirit and I must say I love seeing your children helping you.

  9. Thanks for the recommendations! I actually have lots of seedlings growing in those grow bags, but I am concerned about the bags sticking up over the soil line when I plant them and wicking water up from around the roots. I'd love any tips you can share on how to plant these in the ground to avoid moisture wicking. Love your videos!

  10. Great video. I have got to get a hoi hoi knife. I have put getting on off way too long. I have my father-in-laws dibbler And I absolutely love my metal cart. I lay a tarp in it to keep soil in it. I may buy a yard bag to use in it as an insert. Hubby is always using the wheel barrow.
