  1. My silkie is broody with fertile duck eggs under her, if the ducklings hatch will she move to watch or will stay on top of the pipping eggs?
    ❤️Chickies❤️

  2. Thank you so much for this video. We have a broody hen-she’s been sitting on her eggs for a week. Now I know what to do, thank you!!!

  3. First time ever , I left all the eggs with Mom, out in the barn! 10 out of 11 hatched. They are now living side by side, all eating with one
another, the chicks even walk amoung the big chickens!

  4. I love your videos and have learned so much! I'm new to chicken raising and have a question. I ordered some fertile eggs and as luck would have it, I noticed one of my Speckeled Sussex has been broody for about 3 days! I'm wanting to move her to a broody box like you show here. We're in Texas, so quite warm. Will she be alright staying in a secure run? Thank you!!

  5. Patara, how many chickens do you have now? LOL I am raising 19 chicks and have 11 adults in the coop and runs. Gotta finish my 2nd coop and runs cause these babies are going to be ready to go outside soon!. This is such a busy busy time of year.

  6. This is good news, I love broody hens. I got some True Blues from McMurray 6 months ago, and I already had 4 True Blue hens I found locally, so I'll be trying to hatch my own in about a month. The 6 month old roosters have not been the nicest dudes lately, so I hope they chill out. I had a Welsummer rooster in with my older True Blue hens and got some beautiful chickens from that cross, they're laying lots of light olive eggs.

  7. Patara, it never gets old watchin' life from those candled eggs. It warms my heart that your Murray McMurray mama is hatchin' babies. This Iowa girl is smilin' big. 🙂

  8. hello patara, i have my first broody hen and she is doing an amazing job . the only problem is she is under our duallys tool box . we dont use the truck anymore so at least shes safe from other predators. think its been about two weeks so i really dont want to disturb her and break broody. im keeping a close eye on her so will let you know how she does.

  9. If you mentioned it, I missed what breed Harvey is? He's quite beautiful! I'm expecting a shipment with wtb's in June so I was excited to see this! I also have broodies right now and have struggled with the aftercare setup as I had 13 hens broody and five hatched off within a day of each other and one hen kept stealing everyone else's babies. I had them all in one broody coop to make care easy during the waiting…. I now have 5 new broodies plus the others. Your video has given me a new vision for my broody coop!!! Thank you!!!

  10. Is that a splash cochin? I have one that isn’t happy unless she is raising chicks … by the time she gets around to laying .. she lays tops 5 before I find her sitting on one
