VIDEO: Tomato Bucket System – Setting Up and Planting

It’s time to get the tomato bucket system set up! I have some very large tomato starts that are begging for a new home so we transplant the tomatoes into 5 gallon buckets and get them ready for the growing season. Follow along with the series and see how I do it! Thanks for watching!

  1. I can see you have done that a time or two! I’m looking forward to see how they do! My favourite tomato variety is Picus, a highly disease resistant, great tasting ,F1, plum variety. I am trialing a new variety this year too called Plum Regal.

  2. Great job Oppe. I had to teach Mrs NG and pops about the watering trick. They were looking at me weird. Have to let the hot water get cool. Great video and a lot of tomatoes. What are you going to use to keep them up? A cage or stakes?

  3. That’s a great set up. I take it you don’t need to park in that driveway. The tomatoes must love all that radiant heat from the concrete… or does it get too hot where you are for that to be a good thing?
