Let’s take a look at the BEST tomato cages I’ve ever used. If you plan on growing some monster tomato plants, you need to build some monster tomato cages to hold them up. I show you my homemade cages and what I used to make them. We are one step closer having the tomato bucket system completely set up and running for the year! Thanks for watching!

Awesome idea Sir! Those will shonuff hold up some huge maters! Great job done buddy!
Your tomato cages are like my Dad and I put together years ago. We used farm fence. I am now 84 years old. Picked my first ripe tomato yesterday.

Concrete mesh is a great idea! We are using stock panels — a bit heavier wire — held up with T-posts. In our area, the wind blows down anything not attached to the ground!
Great information. I was actually going to try this for all of our tomatoes that we are going in containers. I was going to stake them down because we have nasty winds over here.
thanks for sharing.
What a clever idea Oppe!!!!
Come on Opie. Don’t make fun of my little cages. You hurt my feelings!
I like this. my tomatoes are already taller then the store bought cages. So I have to figure something out.
Are the clips the ones called "J clips"
Very nice job.
Nice those are some serious cages
Opie, where did you find the cage clips and tool. I think I have something similar that they call hog clips. I use them to hold my sun shade and place out in Arizona. I also used to clip together the chicken wire.
Lol! We made our gabions out of that. I definitely think they make some bomb tomato cages. Good idea, Oppe!!
