VIDEO: Planting Mid Summer Crops in Our No Till Garden

Our squash quit producing almost entirely and our green beans have slowed down dramatically. It’s time to pull out old crops and plant some new ones! We planted more pink eye purple hull peas, some bush butter beans, and some more bush green beans.

  1. The chickens sure would like that compost pile but i'm sure they got their share too!!
Awesome showing how y'all prepare for growing the beans!! Do you buy the azomite locally

  2. Your garden is Beautiful. We are getting a lot of rain here in West Tennessee from the storm / Gulf . Love rain but this is to much . Over a week now and looks like radar is showing more to come. Have a Great Day

  3. Always enjoy your videos! ❤️ Loved the step-by-step. I’m still learning. Can’t wait to see the Roma’s! They look amazing. My tomatoes didn’t produce well at all this year.

  4. Let me just say that I would not want to be a non producing plant in your garden!!! 😉 I love hearing the chickens and Cardinal in the background in the first part of the video! What the hack are carpenter ants doing in a wood pile??? 😉 At 6:38, it looked like something moved on the right side of your row under the hay and grass clippings, did you notice that? Man, Al is really getting a work out this morning!!! I like how you came back a few days later and showed us the progress. There are the chickens again….love it!!! Yeah, lots of Roma tomatoes in your future! Those pears sure do look good and the chickens will surely enjoy the peelings!!! I noticed that they are not pear-shaped, but more round, is this a particular kind of pear??? Great video, I enjoy TRYING to keep up with you two!!!

  5. I just came across your channel today and was excited to learn that you are located in Starkville, MS. I’m a little further south in Lumberton, MS. Loved the video. Your garden looks awesome for mid July in hot humid Mississippi. Mine is pretty much finished for now until it cools off a little. I couldn’t help but notice all the shade. How much sunlight does your garden get and do you feel like the shade helps protect your garden from the scorching heat? Looking forward to future videos and I’m about to go check out some of your past ones.
