Nice garden. I liked seeing the runner beans and hearing how to use them. I had no idea what runner beans were. I went overboard this year, grew hundreds of plants from seeds with the idea of turning my back yard of lawn into garden. I planted many heirloom tomatoes, Giant Belgium Pink, grows huge plant fast, German Pink, large plant, Green Giant-huge and fast growing, Millionaire-large heirloom pink that grows pretty big, Delicious, a favorite large slicer, Classic Beefsteak, German Lunch box and Tappy's Heritage-two smaller heirloom tomatoes that didn't grow as well from seed for me. German Lunch box is doing well in the garden, though. Also grew Burpee's Big Daddy which grew well, Big Zac, Porterhouse, Chef's choice Pink, Jet Star, New Girl which looked nice and very productive in a video by I'm Organic, and Debut-new variety that sounded interesting. Cherry tomatoes are Chocolate Cherry, Sweetie, Juliet, Jelly Bean. Can't wait to see how all of these grow and taste! Just having fun. Doing no till garden so quite a struggle. Called tree services and found one who happily dumps loads if free wood chips in my yard. Lot of work to spread but quick way to another out the grass and weeds. Harder to move them aside to dig holes for your tomato plants! Also planning a raised bed around the back and back side of yard which borders a Nature park. I am using huge tree branches as outer side if raised bed and plan to use some tree branches as trellising. Plan to fill bed with wood chips, top soil from local Sutherland's store they get locally and which is super nice, organic and cheap. I will plant cherry tomatoes for Park visitors to sample, lots if different flowers, pickling cucumbers, cute patty pan squash and tall sunflowers and Okra. I have so many tomato plants that I grew from seed that I will plant some of those in that raised bed, too on the park side and plant a lot more on my side of the bed. I am 66 and just can't do as much anymore so it is coming together slowly, but I hope it will all get done. I also collected windows to build a window greenhouse. They are so pretty and helpful with seed starting. Your garden is beautiful. I've watched your videos on drip system watering but could use more info. I also have hay bales ready to plant in and I plan to put in barrels to catch rain.
question: I also have a purple beauty bell pepper, i was happy to hear that you are keeping it on so it grows larger. Mine are about the same size and color as yours right now and for some reason i thought when they reach that ideal dark purple that they were ripe and ready for harvest, meaning they wouldn't get bigger once their color set. How much larger could they get? Double? The plant looks super healthy with many more smaller peppers, i fertilize on a schedule like you recommend. Any tips? should i pull some off so others will get larger, or just let them go/grow? Hi Camera guy!!! :))
Hello mam I am from India and ur garden is so beautiful
Garys tomato was huge but I would have snipped all other tomatoes off a competition plant.
Loved this video!! i would love a more country instrumental music background instead..
wow. your garden is so productive. I wanted to be there. you are so lucky because you have big spacious backyard. .
I love how excited ya'll got with the grapes! California rocks for growing.
wow very nice video my friend I like it.
wow very nice video my friend I like it.
Yay for the grapes!! So happy they came in for you!!!
Loved this video
How do you use rosemary in drinks?
I see you are wearing shorts in the garden. Don't you have mosquitos ? They bite me the minute I go out. Even through cloths.
I just heard you live in California . That explains you don't have the mosquitos problem. I live in a wet area. And on top of that a lot of deer visit me and eat everything.
It's a pleasure to visit your garden, but there is no way I can have it.
So I love the strawberry tower. I have crates. How do you do it and when? And why did you cover them and what was the cover? I love your garden and I'm very new to gardening. My first one this year in 30 years.
What do you use to keep pests away?
So inspiring to a new gardener like me! I purchased some of your seeds and I'm so excited
The plant you asked about I’m pretty sure my grandma always called them 4 o’clocks. They do take over . I love all your tips and hints.
Thank you for sharing your life and knowledge with us.
You talk with so much love about your garden.
I harvested my first green beans… enough for a meal! Just wanted to thank you for all your videos they have taught me so much and I have taken my garden serious this year!
I love the red vein sorrel , I've never had it before, but it's so beautiful even as a decorative plant
Oh I didn’t know that you have to shake the tomatoes tree to have some tomatoes fruit . last time I grow some tomatoes tree it’s didn’t have some tomatoes so I yanked out. But I’m watching your video now I know thank you
Great tour and great garden, thank you! Please make a video just on salad greens. Kale, chard, best lettuces, arugula, mizuna, etc., but also things like the red-veined sorrell, baby bok choy. lesser known salad greens that add great nutrition. Also things we don't normally think of as salad greens like basil, mint, etc. Taste descriptions such as bitter arugula and mizuna – use in moderation. Maybe with emphasis on keeping good salads growing year-round? Include succession planting. Zone 8A here, though I know you try to help all zones.
Nice garden better as mine
