You wondered if it's too late to start Brussels Sprouts. In a friend's MA garden, we picked some of her Brussels Sprouts in late fall or early winter, when it had already snowed a few times, & there was snow piled up on the sprouts – which were the last things standing, & they were delicious.
Still firm & green, they hadn't frozen, defrosted & turned to mush. That's one you can leave for last to be picked, when a frost is coming, but also, you can use row covers, & then tarps at night. A few covered galvanized covered bins, like I use to store bird seed, lsrge canning & pasta pots of water, which warm by sitting in the sun all day, can help things get through an early frost, or to extend the season a bit, too.
And, you can always blanch, chop & freeze what's been harvested, of course too.
Thanks for all your vids, encouragement & inspiration.
Perfect worship voice, lyrics, and playing

Hey Jesse, you may not know this but if you cut off the head of cabbage where the open leaves are. Leave the stem and the roots in the soil. Ths stalk will produce a lot of small heads around the perimeter of the stalk. You want to remove all but 4 evenly spaced. They will grow into softball sized heads of cabbage.
