No till seeding, easy and quick! In the third video in the No Till Farming series, I show you how to weed a raised garden bed and then plant the bed with seeds, lettuce and snow peas, using the no till method of gardening.
The no till method of gardening involves the conscious effort to not disturb the soil profile, either deep down or at the surface. By creating organic layers upon organic layers of mulch and growth, we eliminate the need for tilling, as well we save on water, resources, inputs, labour, and time.

Do you ever use cardboard instead of newspaper? Is it too thick? I use cardboard but only between rows and around plants, but I still dig them into the ground. I can get all the cardboard I want but very little newspaper.
enjoyed. I am trying some snow and snap peas this fall….
I wonder if there would be time to also get a crop of beets in (Detroit) in the northern states/warmer parts of Canada? I guess we can always just try and see!

how do the plants go through the newspaper? Are their roots strong enough to break through? i'm new to gardening , I made a garden bed with compost and newspaper as you did but then I made a hole for every seed and now it looks nuts and I think the seeds are too deep to geminate because I was scared that they couldn't break through the newspaper
