  1. Awesome news about Mrs Brew City in the garden with you and on some videos. Love seeing families in videos and being apart of something special.

Mrs NG finally did her very own video and I love it. Happy she wants to step out in front of the camera and document her story about gardening.

Stay blessed and take care Oppe

  2. I don't see you not gardening on some level, even in a rental. Even if you aren't able to have a straw bale garden in your next home, you have a wealth of information to share with gardeners.

I have a lot of thoughts about how to continue gardening videos. First year gardeners would enjoy seeing the late winter and spring seed process for how you grow your own transplants from seed – not just vegetables, but also flowers. You can also use clips from your previous straw bale conditioning videos to create new videos next spring.

You could also do garden tours from around Milwaukee – public spaces as well as private. I imagine as you and Mrs. Brew City look for homes to buy, you are going to stumble upon people doing edgy things, like front yard veggie gardens, gardens with no lawn, etc. I don't know if there are community gardens in Milwaukee, but if there are, those tours could be very interesting, and I expect one or more of the community gardeners would find straw bale gardening fascinating. Any chance Jose would want to expand the used straw bale plot?

Regardless of how you go, I for one am in it for the long haul. Sending love and light to you and your family.

  3. WOW not pulled the plug on ya and said get out along with your garden. So sad to hear this buddy! I for one would like to see you keep the channel so we can keep up with ya! Looking forward to meeting Mrs. Brew City! Keep on keeping on my friend. Keep the faith this will all work out for the better!

  4. I’m staying because I can’t wait to see your new garden in 2021. When you end up in your forever garden you well may look back and see that the upheaval was all worth it!

  5. Hey Oppe! Irene says to tear down everything EXCEPT your winter squash, and I agree. As you know, first snow doesn't usually mean everything is frozen solid, so you have more time for those veggies if you want. So let them mature. There's plenty of gardening you and the Mrs can do at your new place, and I think that you can teach even more at your temporary new place – there are plenty of would be gardeners who have to rent on a yearly basis. Scale your straw bale garden DOWN and design so you can move it if need be. Take care friends!

  6. Can you give the bales with the squash and stuff to your neighbor. I think you need to keep going. I will always be here. I'm going through something similar. Not sure where I want to take my channel. I can't wait to meet Mrs Brewcity. She sounds amazing.

  7. Nice explanation of the plans Oppe. Sounds like you are turning those lemons into lemonade. Hopefully you can do a lot of vlogs on the process of planning and finding the future brew city garden. People may have come for the SBG info but they stayed for you. I have to admit, my first video watched was you explaining your weight loss transformation and that hooked me.
    Take care,
    Rob

  8. You know, I can appreciate the diplomacy, and I can understand why you are being calm in your demeanor, BUT while I know you won't get angry, IMA do what I do, and get angry for you. This is a crap situation, and it actually sounds like the Lord of the Land is being a little douchie. I personally wish I could just buy you the house you deserve and make it all go away. You keep your calm, I am over here holding plenty of anger, resentment, and negative feelings for you. I hope the Lord of the Land is using those good intentions to fix their roads, cause they are gonna need'em. I know you don't want the bad karma, so this one's on me.

  9. I’m sticking around. 🙂 You can’t get rid of me that easily. We once had to pack our van full and drive across the country leaving everything else behind. We came out the other end ok eventually and life is even better than before. This is just the start of a beautiful new beginning for you.
