Ive tried radishes twice this year and nothing. they sprout and leaf out then nothing..they just sit there. Middle Illinois. compost heavy soil
PAC Choi also works well for us at 6700 ft elevation zone 4

I got lettuce, cabbage, broccoli. Not my choice, Aldi was selling the young plants. I hope it will be ok, although I still havent planted them in bigger container because of lack of space.
It's widespread belief here in the Netherlands that Kale gets better after the frost got over it. It's not necessary for a great harvest but it gets sweeter.

Funny we can’t kill our chives haven’t watered them in years still growing in a 16” pot on the back porch been almost 20 years since I planted them. Love your shows

I’ve never been able to grow cabbages. Even when I start them indoors, they grow spindly and die during the hardening off stage. I’m in zone 7A. Any tips?

Nasturtiums like 65 to 55 degrees. They are terrific in salads, and bring the pollinators to assist with bean pollination. Have rabbits and deer? Plant nastutiums as a protective border.
Bee balm, and hyssop both are frost hardy if established before frost. They will over winter and get your pollinators regularly as perfinals to your garden. Just place them away from main rows where food will go if you want them as perrinials.
