  1. James I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this already but why weren’t you speaking at baker creeks heirloom seed festival ? You are as awesome as the other speakers/vloggers who gave talks at baker creek. I can suggest it to them if you think you might come? They are very kind generous people and o know you’d love the comradeship of all the great homesteaders! I know you probably couldn’t bring tuck but I bet you’d triple your subscribers lol! I hope to meet you there if possible. I love your channel! In case your not familiar with the seed festival it’s put on by baker creek seed and it’s in Santa Rosa California every September. Hope to see you next year maybe??

  2. I just love your enthusiasm! And such good advice. My GSD also loves carrots from the garden and string beans! But he's a bit too rambunctious! Although I prefer big dogs, Tuck is just a marvel! Thanks for all the good advice and good humor!

  3. Hey guys I need some advice. So a week ago I was eating an apple and saw a seed that was sprouting, so I planted it. Now I have little apple plant. Since it’s my first time with a plant I wanted to ask if you had any tips of how to care for it (specially since autumn is coming and then winter). Also I wanted to to know if it will even make it through winter..

  4. You are such a inspriration! Ive gotten into gardening more thanks to u! i know have tomatoes that sprouted and i just took out the seeds of bell peppers to try and grow next year! i also get about 25-35 rasberries a day thanks to ur tips and tricks! can u do a live stream Q and A i have a bunch of questions!

  5. Thanks, Mr. James. I found the tips in your videos very useful. Your natural enthusiasm radiates through each video, keeps me optimistic about my gardening projects. Now getting ready to get to work on sorting and planting my variety survival seed mix. Glad I found your channel.

  6. If I had a food forest, I'd have gotten a goat so as to help convert some more of that summer harvest and other leftover greens into compost more easily through manure, mixing it in with a new compost pile every time. Not only that, but I also intend to convert some of those leftover greens into milk and cheese, too.

  7. I like the way you are doing things by nature. There’s a guy down here in Dallas that is the authority on organic gardening – Howard Garrett, aka The Dirt Doctor. He talks about a lot of things you talk about, which is essentially building soil health and doing things the natural way.
His techniques work no matter what zone you are in – you should look him up if you’ve never heard of him, he is a wealth of information – he’s on the radio every week, I never miss listening to him, and I have 4 of his books.

I am not affiliated with him, just a big fan! Thanks for doing things the way you do them, and thanks for sharing what you do with the world!

  8. James do you have a Planting layout video or diagram? I have bought my fence I’m gonna find poles today, next mulch! I’m thinking about cutting the grass sod off top of the ground and starting without the grass and put it in a different location that’s bare! Of course plant in the soil! I need a good layout!
