I'm so blessed to have found you on here. Im sad you could loose a baby pig, but so VERY happy you guys had a healthy litter for the most part
So sad!
I don’t have a farm, never thought about having a farm but I’m watching this video for some reason and I’m in tears after watching your son cry. Touched my heart.
But it made me smile when the other one asked “are the having dinner, breakfast or lunch” too cute! God bless ❤️
You mention your books youve read a lot. Do you have a list of recommended books somewhere for beginners in homesteading?
You did an outstanding job with this situation compassion is a hard lesson so many variables especially when you compound that with a tender heart ..a few weeks ago I was taking my 34 year old son to work we are a one car family and sometimes I have to keep the vehicle depending on him and his wife's work schedule he works way out I call it gods road and I saw a squirrel in the road I slowed way down till the squirrel cleared the road and I proceeded and the little critter darted back out across the road and I couldn't stop in time it happened so fast but my son was yelling like I had run over a child like I did it on purpose he was like "DAD" I was like it was an accident he was quiet the rest of the ride but I looked over once and he had a tear rolling down his cheek I felt so bad now keep in mind all of you that might be calling my boy a sissy he is not no sissy he's a big strapping man he works hard works out in the gym I'm so proud of the man he has become and he could do whatever needed to be done in the piggy situation but that doesn't mean it wouldn't break his heart ..im proud of him for that..
Your little guy broke my heart
"Is it dinner, breakfast or lunch?" LOL I had to laugh out loud.. so cute.. "it's second breakfast" 😉
Made me cry:( You did good with your son.
what are your climbing roses?
It's a sad thing but not all babies thrive. If you have to put the baby down, then it is what is it. God bless you and your family.
Oh that's so sweet of you to tenderly explain the facts of the farm to your child. He made me cry. We deal with death off and on here at our farm and us adults handle it in stride… but there is something about a child processing it…
This was one of the saddest (made me cry) and funniest vlogs I have seen. Jess, you are so beautiful from the inside out and I adore your family. Thanks for being so real!
I remember growing up that the sows didn’t like the human scent on the babies. We were told we should not touch or handle the babies. Is that true?
Ben, "Are they having dinner, breakfast, or lunch? "
Too cute! What a great question! It's so cool to see through the eyes of our kids!! You have such an awesome family!! Thanks for sharing!! My baby boy just graduated high school last week!! He is the baby of our 5 children!! I SO miss the snuggles and awesome questions when they were small!!
❤️❤️❤️
Holy bean dip!! Im over here bawling for this baby pig and Toby! Face all red and puffy. I am NOT a pretty cryer! So, so sad!
These are absolutely beautiful piglets!
What would be your best tips for growing carrots in a container?
You should put a sign advertising your channel out by the road!
You are a wonderful Mom. Your grace and compassion serves well everyone you touch. So glad to have found this channel <3
Oh Toby, what a beautiful heart… ❤
Oh poor baby. When my daughters first hamster died she was so upset all day. Know this is an old video but my heart when out to him in this
Did that pig ever make it
I adore how you told your dear little boy you had to teach him a lesson; a sad lesson. That was perfect in every way. Far too many people equate being "taught a lesson" with some kind of punishment – which it is not. Compassionate and articulate at the same time.
Hey Jesse, I use a single layer of row cover pinned to the ground directly over the bed where I plant carrot seeds. It helps keep the soil moist and I also don't cover the seed as carrots are light determinate. This always works for me.
Seeing Toby cry and your lesson to him made me sob
