Those Puff Balls are huge! Looks like you've had a nice season, Adam. Something had most of my Sweetcorn this year (there wasn't much). They were left exactly as yours were. The animals know the precise time when they are ready, don't they ?!! Still, they left you with a couple.. me too. The one's you have look sumptuous. Good on you for Parsnips and you've a perfect Halloween Pumpkin : )
Oh you must be gutted about the sweetcorn, I had that last year with the rats. I grew them far away from the chicken houses this year and had good results. I reckon it was the chicken manure that did it.
oooh man, im so sorry for the corn, obviously not those 2 you salvaged but for the rest of it. I have never seen bird damage on corn, they are too well wrapped, rats on the other hand can do such damage. 🙁
hahaha, "Cest la vie"….should I be worried that I get your humor!? Nice pumpkin, I was able to grow two tiny ones from saved halloween pumpkin seeds. The plant just gave up and died before they could do anything more, probably inconsistent watering as they were in containers.
Send me a bag of the puff ball spores 😉 I had great success with spaghetti squash this year one plant 6 squash. Shame about the corn mate. Trail cam? Would be interesting to see whats eating them. The 2 you got looked great though. Your broad beans look much better than mine lol. Cheers Dave
To bad on the corn…but hey…the animals are happy….Very nice looking pumpkin and the flowers is awesome. Take care and stay safe and stay strong my friend

Pretty good on the sweetcorn Adam Fresh from the garden are incredible enjoy Mike
Two nice looking cobs Adam. The others look like they staved off the critters from those two. Beautiful Dahlias and a nice sized pumpkin for a pie!! 🙂
Take care

Beautiful dahlias, enjoyable video….as usual, and if I wasn't in Tuscany I would come and help you eat the sweetcorn.
Hello..I heard board beans root set overwinter and they'll regrow in spring. Always enjoying with your gardening. Have a blessed Sunday
