Ceropegia woodii propagation is surprisingly easy (and fast). In this video I’ll show you how to take stem-tip cuttings and water propagate them, then pot them up for success.
String of hearts propagation is fantastic due to how prolifically these plants grow when in good conditions. Instead of simply pruning them, you should propagate and use the rooted cuttings to start new pots, or fill in your existing pot for a more lush, bushy look to your trailing rosary vine!

okay so the first time i tried this was on my variegated string of hearts and I put the cuttings back into the mother plant. They didn't survive because I was afraid of overwatering my mother plant and all of them dried out 🙁 maybe if i try this method, get them acclimated to soil then pot them back into my mother plant they will survive?? I neeed her to have a full head of hearts again lol
Hi guys. I am completely stumped. I have no idea where to turn for help. It seems that the internet has a different answer for my problem everywhere I look. I am completely new to gardening. And I had no idea it was as difficult as it is turning out to be. Let me explain.
I have a 4×4 raised bed. I put in three bags of potting mix. Two bags of steer manure from Lowe’s. One bag of peat moss. And a large bag of vermiculite.
That’s it. I got some bone meal, blood meal, and plant food as well and mixed it in a little.
And now anything in transplant into this bed refuses to grow. The plants don’t die. They simply just don’t grow. I’m trying to grow lettuce and kale and spinach. Plants growing in regular potting soil in starter mini pots grow fine. But when I transplant into this raised bed, everything stops. As I’ve said, they don’t die, they simply seem to stop progressing.
What is going on???
One person I talked to suggested that I don’t have enough nitrogen in the soil. So I added bone and blood meal to the top of the soil. Someone else said that the steer manure (which Lowe’s said was composted down) had too much salt.
Do I need to start over with an entirely new batch of soil? Someone told me that the mix should be one third compost, one third peat moss, and one third vermiculite. I am guessing that I have about these ratios in this raised bed. And yet I am having no luck.
As I have said, the plants aren’t dying. They seem to be just stuck. No progress.

I just got myself a string of heart not to long ago I got one at my local garden store then I went again n got another but the one I was hoping to find now is the verigated string of heart. Their one of my favorite plants.

I have started water propagating all of my plant in the filter of my fish tank. I found that because the filter is dark and then there's constant water movement inside there plus the nutrients of the fish water itself it is excellent for propagating plants. So if anyone has fish tanks they should definitely try propogating their plants that way if they haven't already.

Is it better to cut the leaves off right up to the node as much as you can or leave a little bit of stall?
How to i grow more stems in the existing plant? I've heard about looping a stem back into the pot. Can i cut and put in the pot?

Can i use nutrition solution in the water?
Some of the top leaves on my string of hearts seem to be shriveling. They have been in water for over 3 weeks and have developed some roots, but not too long. Not sure what’s going wrong.
Can you propagate and then plant the rooted stems back into your existing pot to create a more full plant?
